Hear, Israel, Adonai is our God, Adonai is One.

(Say in an undertone) Blessed be the Name of His glorious kingdom forever and ever.

And you shall love Adonai your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your might.  And these words that I command you today shall be in your heart.  And you shall teach them diligently to your children, and you shall speak of them when you sit at home, and when you walk along the way, and when you lie down and when you rise up.  And you shall bind them as a sign on your hand, and they shall be for frontlets between your eyes.

And you shall write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates.  And it shall come to pass if you surely listen to the commandments that I command you today to love Adonai your God and to serve him with all your heart and all your soul, that I will give rain to your land, the early and the late rains,
that you may gather in your grain, your wine and your oil.  And I will give grass in your fields for your cattle and you will eat and you will be satiated.  (Continue in an underdone…) Beware, lest your heart be deceived and you turn and serve other gods and worship them.  For then (pause) the wrath of Adonai will ignite against you, and he will close the heavens and there will not be rain, and the earth will not give you its fullness, and you will perish quickly from the good land that Adonai has given you.  (Continue aloud…) So you shall put these, my words, on your heart and on your soul; and you shall bind them for signs on your hands, and they shall be for frontlets between your eyes.  And you shall teach them to your children, and you shall speak of them when you sit at home, and when you walk along the way, and when you lie down and when you rise up.  And you shall write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates.  In order to prolong your days and the days of your children on the land that Adonai promised your fathers that he would give them, as long as the days that the heavens are over the earth.

While reading this passage, kiss the tzitzit  at the word “tzitzit”:

And Adonai spoke to Moses, saying, Speak to the children of Israel and say to them they should make themselves tzitzit (fringes) on the corners of their clothing throughout their generations, and give the tzitzit of each corner a thread of blue.  And they shall be tzitzit for you, and when you look at them you will remember all of the commandments of Adonai and do them and not follow after your heart and after your eyes which lead you astray.   In order to remember and do all My commandments, and be holy for your God.  I am Adonai, your God who brought you out of the land of Egypt to be a God to you.  I am Adonai, your God.  It is true.  (Adonai, your God.  It is true.)

David ben Yakov Kaylakov

От Рош Хaшaнa до Йом Кипура добавляют:

The Afternoon Prayer
 Jewish Law / Halacha ↗️

Fortunate are those who dwell in Your house. May they continue to praise You, Selah. Fortunate is the people for whom this is so. Fortunate is the people for whom Adonai is their God.

Psalm 145

A praise by David. I will exalt You, my God, the King, and bless Your Name forever and ever. Every day I will bless You, and extol Your Name forever and ever. Adonai is great and highly extolled, and His greatness is unfathomable. One generation to another will praise Your deeds, and recount Your mighty acts. I will discuss the splendor of Your glorious majesty and Your wonders. They will speak of Your awesome might and I will recount Your greatness. They will recall Your bountifulness and they will joyfully exult in Your righteousness. Adonai is gracious and merciful – slow to anger and great in kindness. Adonai is good to all – His mercy encompasses all His works. All Your works will thank You, Adonai, and Your pious ones will bless You. They will speak of the honor of Your kingship and they will declare Your might. To reveal to men His mighty acts and the glorious splendor of His kingship. Your kingship is a kingship for all time, and Your dominion is in every generation. Adonai supports all the fallen, and straightens all the bent. All eyes expectantly look to You, and You give them their food at the proper time. You open Your hand and satisfy the desire of every living being.  Adonai is just in all His ways and benevolent in all His deeds. Adonai is near to all who call upon Him – to all who call upon Him in truth. He fulfills the will of those who fear Him – He hears their cry and delivers them. Adonai watches over all those who love Him, and will destroy all the wicked. My mouth will declare the praise of Adonai, and all flesh will bless His holy Name forever and ever. And we will bless God from now and forever. Praise God.

Let my prayer be established before You as incense. I lift my hands as an evening offering. Be attentive to the sound of my cry, my King and my God, for to You I will pray.

The Leader recites «Hatzi (Half) Kaddish»
Exalted and sanctified be His great Name. (Amen) In the world that He has created according to His will, and may He let His sovereignty have dominion, and cause His redemption to sprout and bring near the Mashiach. (Amen) In your lifetime and in your days and in the lifetime of the entire House of Israel, speedily and at a time that comes soon, and say amen. (Amen) May His great Name be blessed forever and for all eternity. Blessed and praised and glorified and exalted and raised up and honored and elevated and lauded be the Name of the Holy One, Blessed is He. (Amen) Beyond more than any blessing and song praise and consolation that are uttered in the world, and say amen. (Amen)

Below (Ya’aleh Veyavo) is said on Rosh Hodesh (Festival of the New Moon) and on Hol Hammoed (the in-between days of the Festivals):
Our God, and God of our forefathers, may there rise and come, arrive and appear, and find favor and be heard, be considered and be remembered – remembrance of us and the remembrance of our forefathers; the remembrance of Jerusalem, Your city, and remembrance of the Messiah, descendant of David, Your servant, and  the remembrance of Your entire nation, the House of Israel, before You – for deliverance, for good, for grace, kindness, and compassion, for good life and for peace, on this day of…On Rosh Hodesh: Rosh Hodesh…
On Hol Hammoed Pesah: the Festival of Massot, on this day of holy convocation…
On Hol Hammoed Sukkot: the Festival of Sukkot, on this day of holy convocation…………..to take pity on us on it and to save us. Remember us, Adonai, our God, on it for good, consider us on it for blessing, and deliver us on it for a good life. With the words of salvation and mercy, take pity and be gracious to us, have mercy on us and be compassionate with us, and save us, for our eyes look to You, for You are God, King, gracious and compassionate.

Blessings and thanksgivings [are due] Your great and holy Name for keeping us alive, and sustaining us; so may You always keep us alive and be gracious to us, and gather our exiles to the courtyards of Your Sanctuary to observe Your statutes, and to do Your will, and to serve You wholeheartedly, for we are thankful to You. Blessed is the Almighty to Whom all thanks are due.

Al Hannissim is said on Hanukkah and Purim.
For the miracles, the deliverance, the mighty feats, the acts of rescue, the wonders, and the comforting deeds that
You have performed for our forefathers in those days, at this time.On Hanukkah:
In the days of Mattityah the son of Yohanan, the high priest, the Hasmonean, and his sons – when the evil kingdom of Greece rose up against Your people, Israel, to make them forget Your Torah, and to force them to stray from the statutes of Your Will – You, in Your great compassion, stood up for them in their time of trouble; You took up their fight, sought justice for them, meted out vengeance for them, and delivered the strong into the hands of the weak, the many into the hands of the few, the wicked into the hands of the righteous, the impure into the hands of the pure, and tyrants into the hands of those who are occupied with Your Torah. For Yourself You made a great and holy name in Your world; and for Your people, Israel, You carried out a great salvation and deliverance as it is to this day. Then, afterwards, Your children entered the Inner Sanctuary of Your House, cleansed and purified Your Temple, and kindled lights in the couryards of Your Sanctuary, and they established these eight days of Hanukkah for praise and thanksgiving. And You performed for them miracles and wonders for which we give thanks to Your great Name, Selah! On Purim:
In the days of Mordechai and Ester in the palace of Shushan, when Haman the wicked rose up against them – he sought to destroy, slay and exterminate all the Jews, young and old, children and women, in one day, on the thirteenth day of the twelfth month, which is the month of Adar, and he sought to take their spoils. But, You, in Your great compassion, ruined his plan, foiled his design and turned his due upon his own head – they hanged him and his sons at the gallows. And You performed for them miracles and wonders for which we give thanks to Your great Name, Selah!

And for all these things may Your Name, our King, continually forever and ever be blessed, exalted, and extolled. Everything alive shall give thanks to You, Selah!

From Rosh Hashanah until Yom Kippur, add:  Inscribe for a good life all members of Your covenant.

And they shall praise and bless Your great Name sincerely, forever, for It is good – God, our salvation and help, Selah! – God, Who is good. Blessed are You, Adonai, the Benevolent One is Your Name, and to You it is fitting to give thanks.

(19)  “BLESSING THE WORLD”
Establish peace, goodness and blessing, life, grace and kindness, and compassion over us and upon all of Your people Israel. Bless us our Father all as one, with the Light of Your countenance, for with the Light of Your countenance that You, Adonai, our God, gave us Torah of life, love and kindness, righteousness and compassion, blessing and peace. And may it be good in Your eyes to bless us and to bless Your entire people, Israel, with overflowing power and peace.

From Rosh Hashanah until Yom Kippur, add:
And in the Book of life, blessing, peace, good sustenance, salvation, consolation, and good decrees, may we be remembered and inscribed before You – we, and Your entire people, Israel – for a good life and for peace.

Blessed are You, Adonai, Who blesses, His people, Israel, with peace, Amen.

May they find favor, the utterance of my mouth and the thoughts of my heart, before You, Adonai, my Rock and my Redeemer.

My God! Please protect my tongue from evil and my lips from speaking deceit. And let my soul remain silent to those who curse me, and let my soul be as dust to all. Open my heart in Your Torah and let my soul pursue Your commandments. All who plan against me to do me harm – speedily nullify their conspiracy and ruin their intention. Do it for the sake of Your Name; act for the sake of Your right hand; do it for the sake of Your Torah; act for the sake of Your holiness(**).

** It is a Segullah (spiritual benefit) – so as not to forget one’s name on the Final Day of Judgment – for one to say at this point a verse from Scripture that begins with the first letter of his name and ends with the last letter of his name.

So that Your loved ones may be saved, save with Your right hand and answer me.

He Who makes peace in His high places – may He, in His compassion, make peace for us and for His entire nation, Israel; and say: Amen.

May it be Your will, Adonai, our God, God of our ancestors, that You rebuild the holy Temple speedily in our days. And place our lot in Your Torah so that we may fulfill the statutes of Your will and serve You wholeheartedly.

From Rosh Hashanah until Yom Kippur, add  « Our Father, our King… »:

May the Name of Adonai be blessed from now and until eternity. From the sun’s rising until its setting Adonai’s Name is praised. Adonai is high above all nations’ His glory is above the heavens. Adonai, our Master, how mighty is Your Name throughout the entire world!

Daily Supplication / Viddui / Tachanun

Our God and God of our fathers, let our prayer come before you and do not ignore our supplication. For we are not so brazen-faced and stiff-necked to say to you, Adonoy, our God, and God of our fathers, We are righteous and have not sined. But, indeed, we and our fathers have sinned.

We have trespassed [against God and man, and we are devastated by our guilt]; We have betrayed [God and man, we have been ungrateful for the good done to us]; We have stolen; We have slandered. We have caused others to sin; We have caused others to commit sins for which they are called רְשָׁעִים, wicked; We have sinned with malicious intent; We have forcibly taken other’s possessions even though we paid for them; We have added falsehood upon falsehood; we have joined with evil individuals or groups. We have given harmful advice; We have deceived; We have mocked; We have rebelled against God and His Torah; We have caused God to be angry with us; We have turned away from God’s Torah; We have sinned deliberately; We have been negligent in our performance of the commandments; We have caused our friends grief; We have been stiff-necked, refusing to admit that the cause of our suffering is our own sins. We have committed sins for which we are called רָשָׁע [raising a hand to hit someone]. We have committed sins which are the result of moral corruption; We have committed sins which the Torah refers to as abominations; We have gone astray; We have led others astray.

We have turned away from Your commandments and from Your good laws, and we have gained nothing from it. And You are the Righteous One in all [punishment] that has come upon us; for You have acted truthfully and we have acted wickedly.

You are Almighty, Slow to anger, Lord of Mercy, You are called, and the way of repentance, You have taught us. The greatness of Your mercy and kindness, remember this day and every day for the descendants of Your loved ones. Turn to us with compassion for You are the Lord of Mercy. With supplication and prayer we approach Your Presence, as You made know to [Moses,] the modest one of old. From Your fierce anger turn, as it is written in Your Torah: In the shadow of Your wings, may we be sheltered and lodged, as on the day [of which it is said:] When Adonoy descended in the cloud. Remove [our] transgression, and blot out [our] iniquity, as on the day [of which it is said:] And He stood with him there. Give ear to our cry and listen to our speech, as on the day [of which it is said:] And He proclaimed in the Name, Adonoy And there it is said:

And Adonoy passed before him [Moses] and proclaimed:

Adonoy, Adonoy, Almighty, Merciful, Gracious, Slow to Anger, and Abundant in Kindness and Truth. Keeper of kindness for thousands of generations, Endurer of iniquity and transgression, and sin, and Acquitter of those who repent. And pardon our iniquity and our sin, and take us for Your inheritance. Pardon us, our Father, for we have sinned, forgive us, our King, for we have transgressed. For You, my Master, are good and forgiving, and abounding in kindness to all who call upon You.

The following supplication is recited while sitting down:

And David said to Gad (II Samuel 24:14), I am greatly distressed; let us fall into the hand of Adonoy for His mercies are great, but into the hand of man let me not fall.
Merciful and gracious One, I have sinned before You; Adonoy, full of mercy, have compassion upon me and accept my supplications.

Adonoy, do not rebuke me with Your anger, nor chastise me with Your rage. Be gracious unto me, Adonoy, for I am desolate, heal me Adonoy, for my bones are terrified. My soul, [too,] is utterly terrified, and You Adonoy, how long? Return Adonoy, free my soul, deliver me for the sake of Your lovingkindness. For in death there is no mention of You; in the lower world who will thank You. I am worn out with my sighing, every night I cause my bed to float; with my tears, I melt my couch. My eye is dimmed from anger, it has aged because of my tormentors. Depart from me, all you evildoers, for Adonoy has heard the voice of my weeping. Adonoy has heard my supplication, Adonoy will (also) accept my prayer. Ashamed and utterly terrified will all my foes be, they will return and be instantaneously ashamed.

Guardian of Israel, guard the remnant of Israel, and let not Israel perish, who say, “Hear Israel.” Guardian of the unique nation, guard the remnant of the unique people, and let not the unique nation perish, who proclaim the Oneness of Your Name, [saying:] Adonoy is our God, Adonoy is One. Guardian of the holy nation, guard the remnant of the holy people and let not the holy nation perish who repeat the threefold sanctification to the Holy One. You Who are appeased by pleas for mercy, and conciliated by supplications, be appeased and conciliated to an afflicted generation, for there is none else to help. Our Father, our King! be gracious to us and answer us for we have no [good] deeds, deal with us charitably and kindly and deliver us. As for us, we know not what to do; but our eyes are upon You. Remember Your mercies, Adonoy, and kindnesses for they are from the beginning of the world. Adonoy! may Your kindness be upon us, as we have waited for You. Remember not the sins of our ancestors; let Your mercy come swiftly toward us, for we have been brought very low. Help us for the Name of Adonoy Creator of Heaven and earth. Be gracious to us, Adonoy, be gracious to us for we are saturated with humiliation. [Even] in anger remember to have compassion. [Even] in anger remember the binding of Isaac. Even in anger remember the uprightness of Jacob Adonoy deliver [us] the King will answer us on the day we call. For He knows of what we are made; He is mindful that we are but dust. Help us, God of our deliverance, for the sake of the glory of Your Name; save us and atone our sins, for the sake of Your Name.

Psalm – 67

For the Conductor upon Neginos, a psalm, a song. May God favor us and bless us, may He illuminate His countenance with us, Selah. To make known Your way on earth, among all the nations Your salvation. Then peoples will acknowledge You, O God, the peoples will acknowledge You – all of them. Nations will be glad and sing for joy, because You will judge the peoples fairly and guide with fairness the nations on earth, Selah. Then people will acknowledge You, O God, the peoples will acknowledge You – all of them. The earth will then have yielded its produce, may God, our own God, bless us. May God bless us, and may all the ends of the earth fear Him.

ALENU

It is our duty praise the Ruler of all, to recognize the greatness of the Creator of first things, for He has not made us like the nations of the lands, and He did not make us the same as other families of the earth, He did not allocate our portion like theirs, nor our lot like all their multitudes, for they prostrate themselves to futility and emptiness and pray to a god that cannot help. (quick pause) But we prostrate ourselves before He Who is King over kings of kings, the Holy One, blessed is He. He stretches out the heavens and establishes the earth’s, the seat of His homage is in the heavens above, and Whose powerful Presence is in the highest heights. He is our Elohim and there is no other. True is our Sovereign, nothing exists apart from Him, as it is written in Your Torah: And you shall know today and take to heart, that Hashem is the Elohim in the heavens above, and on earth below and there is no other.

Therefore we put our hope in You Hashem our Elohim, let us witness the glory of Your power, to remove idols from the earth, and false gods will utterly be cut off, to perfect the universe through the reign of the Almighty. And all humanity will call upon Your Name, and all the wicked of the earth shall turn to You. May all the inhabitants of the world know and recognize You, that to You every knee should bend, and every tongue pledge. Before You, Hashem our Elohim, they will bend their knees and bow down, and they will give honor to the glory of Your Name, and all will accept the yoke of Your Sovereignty, that You may reign over them. Thus it has been said, Hashem will be Sovereign over all the earth, on that day, Hashem will be One, and His Name will be One.

And in Your Torah, Adonai, our God, it is written as follows:

Hear, Israel, the Lord is our God, the Lord is One.

*Hodu*
Give thanks to Adonai, proclaim His Name, and make His deeds known among the nations.  Sing to Him, make music to Him, and speak of all His wonders.  Be proud of His Holy Name, the heart will rejoice of those who seek Adonai.  Pursue [the closeness of] Adonai and [the manifestation of] His power; constantly seek His presence.  Remember the wonders that He has performed, His miracles, and the laws of His mouth [you] the descendants of Yisrael, His servant, the children of Yaakov, [who are] His chosen.  He is Adonai, our God, His judgements are over the entire world.  Remember His Covenant forever, the Word that He commanded for a thousand generations – which He made with Avraham, and [reiterated with] His vow to Yitzhak, and which He established for Yaakov as a statute, for Yisrael as an eternal covenant saying: “Yo you I shall give the Land of Canaan, the share of your heritage,” when you were [but a small] number of people, few, and strangers in it.  They (the Patriarchs) went from nation to nation, from one kingdom to another people, [but] God did not permit any man to harm them and He punished kings on account of them.  [He said to them:] “Do not touch My anointed ones and do not cause harm to My prophets.”  Sing to Adonai all [dwellers of] the earth; proclaim daily His salvation [of you].  Relate His glory amongst the nations, His wonders amongst all peoples.  For Adonai is great and most praised, and He is awesome above all powers.  For all the gods of the nations are nothing, (pause) whereas made the heavens.  Majesty and grandeur are in His Presence, strength and joy are in His place.  Render to Adonai, you families of nations – render to Adonai honor and power.  Render to Adonai the honor befitting His Name.  Bring a gift and come before Him; prostrate yourselves before Adonai in the splendor of holiness.  Tremble before Him, all [dwellers of] the earth, also the world is set firm [so that] it should not falter.  Let the heavens rejoice and the earth be glad; and let them proclaim amongst the nations, “Adonai has reigned!”  Let the sea and that which is within it roar, let the field and all within it exult.  Then will the trees of the forest break into song before Adonai, for He has come to judge the world.  Given thanks to Adonai for He is good, for His kindness is forever.  And say: “Save us, God of our salvation, gather us, and save us from among the nations to give thanks to Your holy Name, and to find ourselves glorified in Your praise.”  Blessed is Adonai, God of Israel, from [This] World to the World [to Come]; and all the people said, “Amen,” and [gave] praise to Adonai.
Exalt Adonai, our God, and prostrate yourselves at His footstool, [for] He is holy.  Exalt Adonai, our God, and prostrate yourselves at His holy mountain, for Adonai, our God, is holy.  And He, the merciful One, will forgive iniquity, and not destroy [man]; He will frequently turn aside His anger and not arouse all His wrath [at once].  [I ask of] You, Adonai, do not withhold Your mercy from me; may Your kindness and faithfulness always protect me.  Recall Your mercies and kindnesses, Adonai, for they have existed from ever.  Attribute power to God; His majesty is over Israel and His power is [manifest] in the heavens.  [You,] God, are awesome from Your Sanctuaries; God of Israel – He gives power and might to the people; blessed is God.

[You are] God of retribution, Adonai, O God of retribution, appear!  Arise, Judge of the world!  Repay the arrogant their due.  It is upon Adonai [to bring] salvation, and it is upon Your people to bless You, Selah.  Adonai, [Master of] hosts, is with us; a strength for us is God of Yaakov, Selah!  Adonai, [Master of]  hosts!  Fortunate is the man who trusts in You.  Adonai, save!  May the King answer us on the day that we call.  Save Your people and bless Your heritage, provide for them and uplift them forever.  Our soul awaits Adonai, [for] He is our help and our shield.  For in Him will our heart rejoice, because we have trusted in His holy Name.  Adonai, may Your kindness be upon us as we have placed our hope in You.  Show us Your kindness, Adonai, and grant us Your salvation.  Arise! Help us, and redeem us for the same of Your kindness.  [For you said,] “I am Adonai, your God, Who brought you up from the land of Egypt; open your mouth wide and I will fill it.”  Praiseworthy is the people for whom this is so – praiseworthy is the people that Adonai is its God.  As for me, I have trusted in Your kindness, and my heart will therefore rejoice in Your salvation; I shall sing to Adonai for He has bestown goodness upon me.

*Aromimchah*
[Psalms 30, 2-13]

I shall exalt You, Adonai, for You have uplifted me; You have not given my enemies cause to rejoice an account of me.  Adonai, my God!  I cried out to You and You healed me.  Adonai! You brought up my soul from the abyss, You have kept me alive from sinking into the pit.  Sing to Adonai, you who are His pious, and give thanks to His holy Name.  For [He remains] in His anger for only a moment, but there is [long] life when in His favor.  [Though] in the evening one may lie down crying, in the morning [he will awake with] song.  In my time of security I had thought that I could never be moved.  [However,] Adonai, only by Your wish did You support my mountain (i.e., greatness) with strength.  [But when] You hid Your presence I became frightened.  [Therefore] to You, Adonai, shall I call, to my Master I shall beseech [and say:] What gain is there in [the spilling of] my blood when I am lowered into the grave?!  Does the dust give thanks to You?  Does it proclaim Your faithfulness?!  Hear, O Adonai, and be gracious to me; Adonai, be a helper to me!  You have [previously] turned my mourning into dance for me, You have undone my sackcloth and girded me with joy.  So that the glory (i.e., soul) should sing to You and not be silent; (pause) Adonai, my God, I will forever thank You.

One stands up, and remains standing until “… and His Name [will] be One.”

During the 10 days of Teshuva (from Roshashana until Yom Kuppur), one adds (while standing): It is Adonai Who is God! It is Adonai Who is God!It is Adonai Who is God! It is Adonai Who is God!

Continue standing:

Adonai reigns; Adonai has reigned; Adonai will reign forever and ever.
Adonai reigns; Adonai has reigned; Adonai will reign forever and ever.

Adonai [will be] King over the entire world; on that day Adonai will be One and His Name [will] be One.

Stand until here.

Save us, Adonai, our God, and gather us from among the nations to give thanks to Your holy Name, and to find ourselves glorified in Your praise.  Blessed is Adonai, God of Israel, from ever and until eternity; and all the people will say: Amen; Haleluyah! (Praise God!)  Let whosoever has a soul praise God; Haleluyah! (Praise God!) (For with You is the source of life, by Your light shall we see light.  I set Adonai before me always, because [He is always] at my right so that I should not falter.)

*Lamnasseyah Binginot [Psalm 67]

For the musician of the songs, a psalm, a song: May God favor us and bless us; may He shine His countenance with us, Selah! – to make Your ways known in the world, and Your salvation among all the nations.  The nations will [then] give thanks to You, God; the nations will give thanks to You – all of them.  The nations will rejoice and sing for You shall judge the people with fairness, and You shall guide the kingdoms on earth, Selah!  The nations will give thanks to You, God; the nations will give thanks to You – all of them – that the earth has given forth its yield, and that God, our God, will bless us.  May God bless us and may all from the ends of the earth fear Him.

Starting from words “Blessed is the One Who spoke…” (“Barukh she-amar…”) until end of “Amidah” prayer, its forbidden to pause or say anything extra.

Below prayer is said while standing, holding front two tzitzit strings in your hands:

Blessed is the One Who spoke and [thereby] the world came into being; blessed is He.  Blessed is He Who speaks and does.  Blessed is He Who decrees and fulfills.  Blessed is He Who maintains creation.  Blessed is He Who is compassionate to the world.  Blessed is He Who is compassionate to His creatures.  Blessed is He Who gives good reward to those who fear Him.  Blessed is He Who lives forever and exists for eternity.  Blessed is He Who redeems and saves; blessed is His Name.

Blessed are You, Adonai, our God, King of the universe, God, the compassionate Father Who is lauded by the mouth of His nation – praised and glorified by the tongue of His righteous ones and His servants.  With the songs of David, Your servant, we shall laud You, Adonai, our God – with praises and with songs, and we shall exalt You and praise You and glorify You and proclaim You King.  And we shall speak Your Name, our King, our God, Unique One!  Life of the worlds, the King Who is praised and glorified; forever is His great Name.  Blessed are You, Adonai, the King Who is extolled with praises.

 *Mizmor Letodah

[Psalm 100]

A song of thanksgiving: Sound [the shofar] to Adonai, all [dwellers of] the earth.  Serve Adonai with joy, come before Him with song.  Know that it is Adonai Who is God, He made us and we are His – His people and the flock of His pasture.  Come through His gates with thanksgiving, into His courtyards with praise; give thanks to Him, bless His Name.  For Adonai is good – His kindness is forever, and His faithfulness is for every generation.

*Yehi Chevod

May the glory of Adonai last forever; May Adonai rejoice with His works.  May the Name of Adonai be blessed from now and until eternity.  From the sun’s rising until its setting Adonai’s Name is praised.  Adonai is high above all the nations, His glory is above the heavens.  Adonai, Your Name is forever;  Adonai, Your fame is for every generation.  Adonai – in the heavens did He establish His Throne, and His kingdom rules over everything.  Let the heavens rejoince and the earth be glad, and let them proclaim among the nations, “Adonai has reigned!”  Adonai reigns; Adonai has reigned; Adonai will reign forever and ever.  Adonai will be King forever and ever [after the evil] nations will have perished from His land.  Adonai has nullified the conspiracy of the nations, He has thwarted the plans of [various] peoples.  Many are the thoughts in the hearth of man, but it is the plan of Adonai that endures.  The plan of Adonai shall stand forever, the thoughts of His heart, for all generations.  For when He spoke, it came to be, [when] He commanded, it was established.  For Adonai chose [the city of] Zion, He desired it as His dwelling place.  For God chose Yaakov for Himself, Yisrael, as His treasure.  For Adonai will not forsake His people, nor will He abandon His heritage.  And He, the Merciful One, will forgive iniquity and not destroy [man]; He will frequently turn aside His anger and not arouse all His wrath [at once].  Adonai, save!  May the King answer us on the day that we call!

*Ashre

Fortunate are those who dwell in Your house. May they continue to praise You, Selah. Fortunate is the people for whom this is so. Fortunate is the people for whom Adonai is their God.

[Psalm 145]

Praise God.

[Psalm 146]

Haleluyah! (Praise God!)  My soul, praise Adonai.  I shall praise Adonai while I am alive; I shall play music to my God while I exist.  Do not place your trust in nobles – in man who has no means of salvation.  [For when] his breath leaves him, he returns to his earth; on that day his plan perish.  Fortunate is the one for whom God of Yaakov comes to his aid, [who rests] his hope on Adonai, his God.  [For] He creates the heavens and the earth, the sea and all that they contain – the One Who guards truth forever.  He acts justly toward the oppressed, and gives bread to the hungry.  Adonai releases those who are imprisoned.  Adonai gives sight to the blind; Adonai stands upright those who are bent over;  Adonai loves the righteous.  Adonai watches over the proselytes [and] gives strength to the orphan and widow, but the way of the wicked He makes crooked.  Adonai will reign forever, your God, for each and every generation, O Zion; Heleluyah! (Praise God!)

[Psalm 147]

Haleluyah! (Praise God!)  For it is good to make music to our God, for it is pleasant and beautiful to praise Him.  Adonai is the builder of Jerusalem; He shall father the scattered of Israel.  [He is] the healer of the broken-hearted, and He bandages (i.e., heals) their grief.  He counts the number of stars, calling them all by name.  Our Master is great and exceedingly powerful, His understanding is limitless.  Adonai strengthens the humble, and lowers the wicked down to the earth.  Raise up your voices to Adonai with thanksgiving, make music with the harp to our God, Who covers the heavens with clouds, Who prepares rain for the earth, and Who causes the mountains to sprout grass.  He provides the beast with its food, the young ravens that cry out [for food].  He does not desire the strength of the horse, nor does He wish the [mighty] thighs of man.  Adonai wants [only] those who fear Him, those who place their hope in His goodness.  Praise Adonai, O Jerusalem, laud your God, O Zion.  For He has strengthened the bolts of you gates, and has blessed your children that are within you.  He establishes peace [throughout] your territory; He satiates you with the best of the wheat.  He sends out His instructions to the earth – how quickly His word travels!  He sends down snow as if it were wool, scatters frost as if it were ash.  He tosses His hail as if morsels – who can stand up to His cold?   He sends forth His word and melts them – He makes His [warm] wind blow and they flow as water.  He relates His words to Yaakov, His statutes and His laws to Yisrael.  He has not done so for any other nation and He did not inform them of the laws; Haleluyah! (Praise God!)

[Psalm 148]

Haleluyah! (Praise God!) Praise Adonai from the heavens, praise Him in the heights.  Praise Him, all His angels, praise Him, all His hosts.  Praise Him, sun and moon, praise Him, all stars of light.  Praise Him, highest heavens, and the waters that are above the heavens.  Let them praise the Name of Adonai, for He commanded and they were created.  He established them forever and ever; He set laws [for them] that cannot be transgressed.  Praise Adonai from the earth: giant fish and all [who dwell in] the depths; fire and hail, snow and vapor, storm-wind which does His bidding; the mountains and all the hills, fruit trees and all cedars; wild beasts and all cattle, creeping things and winged birds; kings of the earth and all nations, princes and all judges of the earth; young men as well as young maidens, elders along with youngsters.  Let them praise the Name of Adonai, for His Name alone is powerful; His splendor is over earth and heaven.  He has uplifted a horn (i.e., strength) for His nation – [it shall be] a praise for all His pious ones, for the Children of Israel, His intimate people; Haleluyah! (Praise God!)

[Psalm 149]

Haleluyah! (Praise God!)  Sing to Adonai a new song – His praise [will then be] in the congregation of the pious.  Israel will [then] rejoice with its Maker, the children of Zion will exult with their King.  They will praise His Name with dance, with drum and harp they will play music to Him.  For Adonai favors His nation, He glorifies the humble (Israel) with salvation.  Let the pious exult in [their] honor, and sing joyously upon their beds.  The high praises of God are in their throats and a double-edged sword in their hands to exact vengeance upon the nations [and] retribution upon the empires, to bind their kings in chains, and their nobles in iron shackles, [and] to administer to them the justice that is written, which shall be glorious for all His pious ones;  Haleluyah! (Praise God!)

[Psalm 150]

Haleluyah! (Praise God!)  Praise God in His Sanctuary, praise Him in the heavens of His might.  Praise Him by [reciting] His mighty deeds, Praise Him in accordance with His bountiful greatness.  Praise Him with blowing of the shofar, praise Him with lyre and harp.  Praise Him with drum and dance, praise Him with symphonic instruments and pipe.  Praise Him with booming cymbals, praise Him with reverberating cymbals.  Let whosoever has a soul praise God;  Haleluyah! (Praise God!)  Let whosoever has a soul praise God; Haleluyah! (Praise God!)

Blessed is Adonai forever, Amen and Amen.  Blessed from Zion is Adonai, Who dwells in Jerusalem;  Haleluyah! (Praise God!)  Blessed is Adonai, God, God of Israel, Who alone does wonders.  And blessed is the name of His glory forever; may His glory fill the entire world; Amen and Amen.

*Vayvarech David

[I Chronicles: 29, 10-13]

The following part of the prayer is said while standing.

Then David blessed Adonai before the eyes of the entire congregation, and David said, “Blessed are You, Adonai, God of our Patriarch Yisrael, from ever and until eternity.  Yours, Adonai, are the greatness, the power, the glory, the victory, and the splendor, for everything in the heavens and earth [is Yours].  Yours, Adonai, is the reign [over all] and [over] those who ascend to lead all.  Riches and honor emanate from You (saying this phrase, it is customary to give small monetary donation.  i.e. 3 coins) and You rule over everything; in Your hand are power and might, and it is in Your hand to make great and to give strength to all.  Now, therefore, our God, we give thanks to You, and praise the name of Your splendor.

[Nehemiah 9, 5-11]

And they shall bless the name of Your glory, [for You are] exalted above all blessing and praise.  It is You alone Who are Adonai – You made the heavens, the highest heavens and all their hosts, the earth and all that is upon it, the seas and all that they contain, and You sustain life in them all.  And the hosts of the heavens prostrate themselves before You.  It is You, Adonai, God,

Stand until here

Who chose Avram, brought him out of Uk Kasdim, and renamed him to Avraham.  You found his heart faithful before You and You established the Covenant with him, to give the land of the Canaanite, the Hittite, the Amorite, the Perizzite, the Jebusite, and the Girgashite – to give [it] to his descendants – and You have kept Your promise, for You are righteous.  You saw the afflication of our forefathers in Egypt, and You heard their cries at the Reed Sea.  You performed signs and wonders against Pharaoh, all his servants and all the people of his land, for You knew that they had sinned willfully against them (the Israelites).  You thereby made for Yourself a name as it is to this day.  You then split the sea before them so that they crossed mid-sea on dry land, and their pursuers You cast into the depths like a stone in violent waters.

Shirat Hayyam (Song at the Sea)

One should recite the Song at the Sea with joy – with the cantillation melody that is used when reading the Torah – imagining that he is actually now crossing the sea.  Doing so causes one’s sins to be forgiven.

[Exodus 14, 30-31]

And on that day, Adonai saves Israel from the hand of the Egyptians, and Israel saw the Egyptians dead upon the seashore.  Israel beheld the great hand that Adonai wrought against Egypt, and the people feared Adonai.  And they believed in Adonai and in Moshe, His servant.

[Exodus 15, 1-18]

Then Moshe and the Children of Israel sang this song to Adonai, and they said the following: I shall sing to Adonai, for He is exalted above the exalted; a horse and its rider He threw into the sea.  The strength and cutting power of God were for me a salvation.  This is my God and I shall build Him a Temple, [He is] God of my father and I shall exalt Him.  Adonai is the Master of war Adonai is His Name.  The chariots of Pharaoh and his army He cast into the sea, and his(Pharaoh’s) select officers were sunk into the Reed Sea.  The deep waters covered them; they sank to the depths like stone.  Your right hand, Adonai, is awesome in power, Your right hand, Adonai, smashes an enemy.  In Your great majesty, You demolish those who rise up against You, You send forth Your wrath [and] it consumes them like straw.  With a blast of Your nostrils the waters piled up – the flowing waters stood upright like a wall – [and] the deep waters congealed in the heart of the sea.  Said the enemy: “I will pursue and overtake, and I will divide up the spoils.  I will satisfy my desire with them; I will unsheathe my sword and my hand will impoverish them.”  You blew with Your wind and the sea covered them, they sank like lead in water – the mighty ones[did].  Who is like You among the mighty, Adonai?  Who is like You, mighty in holiness, awesome in praises, working wonders!  You stretched out Your right hand and the earth swallowed them up.  In Your kindness You guided this people that You redeemed, You led them with Your strength to Your holy Sanctuary.  Nations heard and trembled, terror grabbed hold of the dwellers of Philistia.  Then the chiefs of Edom became panic-stricken, the mighty of Moab were seized with trembling [and] all the dwellers of Canaan melted.  May dread and fear fall upon them; throught the greatness of Your arm may they become still as stone, until Your nation crosses over, Adonai – until it crosses over – this nation that You have acquired.  Bring them and settle them on the mountain of Your heritage, the place of Your dwelling, which you, Adonai, have made – the Sanctuary, Adonai, that Your hands have established.  Adonai will reign forever and ever.

Adonai will reign forever and ever.  Adonai – His kingdom is established forever and for all eternity.  When Pharaoh’s horse came together with his riders and his cavalry into the sea, Adonai turned on them the waters of the sea, and the Children of Israel walked on dry ground in the midst of the sea.

For dominion is Adonai’s and He rules over the nations.  And deliverers shall ascend Mount Zion to mete out justice on [those of] Mount Esav, and [then] the Kingdom will be Adonai’s.  Adonai will [then] be King over the entire world; on that day Adonai will be One and His Name [will be] One.

*Yishtabbah

May Your name be praised forever, our King, God, great and holy King, in the heavens and on the earth.  For to You are befitting, Adonai, our God, God of our forefathers, forever and ever, 1) song and 2) praise, 3) exultation and 4) music, 5) strength and 6) dominion, 7) eternity, 8)greatness, 9) power, 10) praise and 11) glory, 12) holiness and 13) sovereignty, blessing and thanksgiving – to Your great and holy Name.  And from ever and until eternity You are God.  Blessed are You, Adonai, King, great, and lauded with praises, God to Whom thanks are given, Master of wonders, Creator of all souls, Lord of all works, Who prefers musical songs [of praise], King, God, Life of the worlds.  (congregation says “Amen”).

During the 10 days of Teshuva (from Roshashana until Yom Kuppur),one adds (while standing):
[Psalm 130] A song of the steps: From the depths I have called to You, Adonai.  Adonai! Listen to my voice [of prayer]; let Your ears be attentive to the sounds of my pleas.  If You were to keep an accounting of sings, O God, [then,] Adonai, who could survive?  For forgiveness is [solely] with You so that You may be feared.  I place my hope in Adonai – my soul places its hope, and I await His word.  My soul [yearns] for Adonai among those who long for the dawn, those who long for the dawn.  Israel, place [your] hope in Adonai, for [solely] with Adonai is [genuine] kindness, and with Him there abounds redemption.  And He will redeem Israel from all its sins.

The Leader recites «Hatzi (Half) Kaddish»

Exalted and sanctified be His great Name.(Amen) In the world that He has created according to His will, and may He let His sovereignty have dominion, and cause His redemption to sprout and bring near the Mashiach.(Amen) In your lifetime and in your days and in the lifetime of the entire House of Israel, speedily and at a time that comes soon, and say amen.(Amen)

(The next line is recited by the congregation and the mourners)
May His great Name be blessed forever and for all eternity.

Blessed and praised and glorified and exalted and raised up and honored and elevated and lauded be the Name of the Holy One, Blessed is He. (Amen) Beyond more than any blessing and song praise and consolation that are uttered in the world, and say amen.(Amen)

The Leader says: Bless Adonai, the blessed One!
Everyone responds: Blessed is Adonai, the blessed One, forever and ever!
The Leader continues: Blessed is Adonai, the blessed One, forever and ever!

*The Shema-Blessings

Blessed are You, Adonai, our God, King of the universe, Who forms light and creates darkness, Who makes peace and creates everything – He Who illuminates for the earth and for those who inhabit it, with compassion, and in His goodness renews every day, constantly, the work of Creation.  How manifold are Your works, Adonai!  You made them all with wisdom; the world is filled with Your possessions.  He alone is the King, the exalted One, since before time, Who is praised, glorified and exalted from the beginning of days.  God of the world! With Your bountiful compassion, take pity on us – Master of our power, Rock of our strength, Shield of our deliverance, Who is a strength for us.  God, Who is blessed, great in knowledge, Who prepared and made the sun’s rays; the Good One [thereby] created glory for His Name.  He set luminaries encircling His power; the chiefs of His holy hosts, who exalt the Almighty, constantly relate the glory of God and His holiness.  May You be blessed, Adonai, our God, in the heavens above and upon the earth below, for all Your magnificent handiwork and for the luminaries that You formed – they shall glorify You, Selah!

May You be eternally blessed, our protective Rock, our King, our Redeemer, Creator of the holy [angels].  May Your Name be praised forever, our King, Who forms ministering angels, and Whose ministering angels all stand in the heights of the universe and reverently proclaim loudly in unison words of the living God, King of the universe, They (they angels) are all beloved; they are all pure; they are all powerful ; they are all holy; they all carry out, with awe and reverence, the will of the One Who possesses them.  They all open their mouths with holiness and purity, with song and music, and bless, praise, glorify, sanctify, revere, and accept sovereignty of the Name of God, the King, great, powerful and awesome, holy is He.  They all accept upon themselves the yoke of the Heavenly Kingdom from one another, and they give consent to one another to sanctify their Creator in a serene spirit, with a clear expression and with pleasantness; all as one reverently proclaim Kedushah with reverence, and say with awe:

The following is said while sitting down:

“Holy! Holy! Holy! Is Adonai, [Master] of hosts; the entire world is filled with His glory!”

And the Ofanim and holy Hayyot angels soar with thunderous sound in response to the Seraphim angels, [and] opposite them[selves] give praise and say:

“Blessed is the glory of Adonai from His place.”

To the blessed God, shall they offer pleasant melodies; to the King, the living and everlasting God, shall they sing hymns and proclaim praises.  For He alone is high and holy, performs mighty acts, makes new things, is Master of wars, sows righteousness, sprouts salvation, creates cures, is awesome in praises, is Master of wonders, Who, in His goodness, renews every day and constantly the work of Creation, as is stated: “To the One Who makes the great luminaries, for His kindness is forever.”  Blessed are You, Adonai, Who forms the luminaries.

[With] an eternal love have You loved us, Adonai, our God, with great and abundant compassion have You been merciful to us.  Our Father, our King, for the sake of Your great Name, and for the sake of our forefathers who trusted in You and whom You taught lifegiving precepts to do Your will wholeheartedly, so should You be gracious to us, our Father, the merciful Father.  Merciful One!  Please be compassionate with us and place understanding into our hearts to understand, to discern, to hear, to study and to teach, to keep, to do and to fulfill all the words of the teachings of Your Torah, with love.  Enlighten our eyes in Your Torah and bond our hearts with Your commandments, and totally engross our hearts to love and to fear Your Name – (so that) we should not be shamed nor humiliated, and let us not stumble, forever and ever.  For it is in Your holy Name – the great, powerful, and awesome[Name]- that we have placed our trust; may we rejoice and be happy in Your salvation.  May Your compassion, Adonai, our God, and Your many kindnesses, never leave us, Selah, forever.

( Gather the four tzitziyot of the tallet gadol in the left hand and hold them against the heart )

Hurry and bring upon us blessing and peace, speedily, from the four corners of the entire earth.  Break the yoke of the nations from our necks and quickly lead us proudly upright to our land.  For You are God, Who works salvations, and You chose us from among all nations and tongues, and You brought us close, our King, to Your great Name, with love, so that [we might] give thanks to You and proclaim Your Oneness, and so that [we might] fear and love Your Name.  Blessed are You, Adonai, Who chooses His people, Israel, with love.

Hear, Israel, the Lord is our God, the Lord is One.

(Say in an undertone) Blessed be the Name of His glorious kingdom forever and ever.

And you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your might.

And it shall come to pass if you surely listen to the commandments that I command you today to love the Lord your God and to serve him with all your heart and all your soul, that I will give rain to your land, the early and the late rains,
that you may gather in your grain, your wine and your oil.  And I will give grass in your fields for your cattle and you will eat and you will be satiated.  (Continue in an underdone…) Beware, lest your heart be deceived and you turn and serve other gods and worship them.  For then (pause) the wrath of the Lord will ignite against you, and he will close the heavens and there will not be rain, and the earth will not give you its fullness, and you will perish quickly from the good land that the Lord gives you. In order to prolong your days and the days of your children on the land that the Lord promised your fathers that he would give them, as long as the days that the heavens are over the earth.

And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying, Speak to the children of Israel and say to them they should make themselves tzitzit (fringes) on the corners of their clothing throughout their generations, and give the tzitzit of each corner a thread of blue.  And they shall be tzitzit for you, and when you look at them you will remember all of the Lord’s commandments and do them and not follow after your heart and after your eyes which lead you astray.   In order to remember and do all My commandments and be holy for your God.  I am the Lord, your God who brought you out of the land of Egypt to be a God to you.  I am the Lord, your God.  It is true.

The Leader repeats: Lord, your God.  It is true.

and established, and right, and everlasting, and righteous, and trustworthy, and beloved, and dear, and desirable, and pleasant, and awesome, and powerful, and established, and accepted, and good and beautiful – this thing to us – forever and ever.  It is true that God of the world is our King, the Rock of Yaakov [and] the shield of our salvation.  For every generation He endures and His Name endures and His throne is established, and His reign and faithfulness endure forever.  His words are alive and enduring, trustworthy and desirable (one kisses the Tzitzit strings and lets them down) forever and for all eternity – for our fathers, for us and for our children, for our [future] generations and for all the [future] generations of the descendants of Israel, Your servants.  For the earlier and later [generations] it is a good and everlasting thing, with truth and faithfulness, an immutable law.  It is true that it is You Who are Adonai, our God, God of our forefathers, our King, King of our forefathers, our Redeemer, Redeemer of our forefathers, the One Who formed us, the Rock of our salvation.  “Our Redeemer and Rescuer” has been Your Name always, and we have no other God but You; Selah!

The help of our forefathers have You always been – a shield and a savior for them and for their children after them, in every generation.  In the height of the universe is Your abode, while Your laws and righteousness [extend] to the ends of the earth.  It is true that fortunate is the man who abides by Your commandments, and Your Torah and Word he sets upon his heart.  It is true that it is You Who are Master to Your people, and a powerful King to champion their cause – for fathers and sons.  It is true that it is You Who are first and that it is You Who are last, and besides You we have no King who redeems and saves.  It is true that You redeemed us from Egypt, Adonai, our God – from a house of slaves did You redeem us.  You slew all their firstborn but saved Your firstborn, Israel.  You split the Reed Sea for them (Israel), and You drowned the tyrants, while[Your] beloved crossed the sea.  The waters then covered their enemies [so that] not one of them was left.  For [all] this the beloved ones (Israel) praised and exalted God, and the dear ones (Israel) offered music, songs and praises, blessings and thanks to the King, God, living and everlasting – exalted and uplifted, great, (powerful), and awesome – Who lowers the arrogant to the ground, raises the meek to great heights, frees the imprisoned, redeems the humble, and helps the needy – He Who answers His people, Israel, when they cry out to Him.
(One stands up)
[They offered also] praises to the Supreme God, their Redeemer, the Blessed One, Who is blessed.  Moshe and the children of Israel raised their voices in song to You with great joy, and they all said: “Who is like You among the mighty, Adonai?  Who is like You, mighty in holiness, awesome in praises, working wonders”!  [With] a new song did the redeemed praise Your great Name by the seashore; all of them in unison gave thanks and accepted [Your] sovereignty, and they said: “Adonai will reign forever and ever.”  And it is stated: “Our Redeemer!  Adonai, [Master] of Hosts is His Name, Holy One of Israel.”  Blessed are You, Adonai, Who redeemed Israel.

While the Hazzan recites the previous paragraph, the congregants bow and say in an undertone:

Blessings and thanksgivings [are due] Your great and holy Name for keeping us alive, and sustaining us; so may You always keep us alive and be gracious to us, and gather our exiles to the courtyards of Your Sanctuary to observe Your statutes, and to do Your will, and to serve You wholeheartedly, for we are thankful to You. Blessed is the Almighty to Whom all thanks are due.

Al Hannissim is said on Hanukkah and Purim.

For the miracles, the deliverance, the mighty feats, the acts of rescue, the wonders, and the comforting deeds that You have performed for our forefathers in those days, at this time.

On Hanukkah: In the days of Mattityah the son of Yohanan, the high priest, the Hasmonean, and his sons – when the evil kingdom of Greece rose up against Your people, Israel, to make them forget Your Torah, and to force them to stray from the statutes of Your Will – You, in Your great compassion, stood up for them in their time of trouble; You took up their fight, sought justice for them, meted out vengeance for them, and delivered the strong into the hands of the weak, the many into the hands of the few, the wicked into the hands of the righteous, the impure into the hands of the pure, and tyrants into the hands of those who are occupied with Your Torah.

On Purim: In the days of Mordechai and Ester in the palace of Shushan, when Haman the wicked rose up against them – he sought to destroy, slay and exterminate all the Jews, young and old, children and women, in one day, on the thirteenth day of the twelfth month, which is the month of Adar, and he sought to take their spoils.

Birkat Kohanim (The Priestly Blessing)

If there are any kohanim (Priests) on the rostrum, when hazzan reaches this point in his repetition of the Admidah, they now recite the Birkat Kohanim.  If not, the hazzan recites substitute blessing.

May it be Your will, Adonai, our God, God of our forefathers, that this blessing [with which] You commanded us to bless Your people, Israel, be a perfect blessing, and may it not contain any hindrance or iniquity, from now and forever.

The congregation responds:
  Amen!

The hazzan recites and the kohanim repeat:

May Adonai bless you and watch over you.  (Congregation responds:  Amen!).  May Adonai shine His countenance for you and be gracious to you. (Congregation responds:  Amen!).  May Adonai be forbearing toward you and give you peace. (Congregation responds:  Amen!).

If there are no kohanim in the congregation, the hazzan recites:

Our God, God of our forefathers, bless us with the threefold blessing in the Torah, which was written by the hands of Moshe, Your servant, spoken from the mouth of Aharon and his descendants – Priests, Your holy people, as it is said: “May Adonai bless you and watch over you.  May Adonai shine His countenance for you and be gracious to you.  May Adonai be forbearing toward you and give you peace.”  They (the kohanim) shall place My Name upon the Children of Israel and I will bless them.

May they find favor , the utterance of my mouth and the thoughts of my heart, before You, Adonai, my Rock and my Redeemer.

Do it for the sake of Your Name; act for the sake of Your right hand; do it for the sake of Your Torah; act for the sake of Your holiness (**).

Our Father, our King, we have sinned before You, have mercy on us.
Our Father, our King, we have no King except You.
Our Father, our King, deal with us [kindly] for the sake of Your Name.

Our Father, our King, do not turn us away empty-handed from You.

On days, when VIDDUY (Confessional Prayer) is not read, recite May the Name…, and then the leader says «Hatzi (Half) Kaddish»

May the Name of Adonai be blessed from now and until eternity. From the sun’s rising until its setting Adonai’s Name is praised. Adonai is high above all nations’ His glory is above the heavens. Adonai, our Master, how mighty is Your Name throughout the entire world!

VIDDUY (Confessional Prayer)

Please, Adonai, our God, God of our forefathers, let our prayer come before You, and do not hide Yourself, our King, from our supplication – for we are not [so] insolent nor [so] obstinate to say before You, Adonai, our God, God of our forefathers, ‘We are righteous and have not transgressed’; [rather,] truly, we have transgressed, committed iniquity, and sinned – we, as well as our fathers and our household members:

We have been guilty, we have betrayed, we have robbed, we have spoken gossip and slander, we have caused iniquity, we have caused wickedness, we have acted wantonly, we have extorted, we have accused falsely (and deceitfully), we have given bad advice, we have lied, we have angered, we have acted frivolously, [we have ridiculed,] we have rebelled, we have disobeyed Your words, we have infuriated, we have committed adultery, we have been deviant, we have committed iniquity, we have sinned wilfully, we have spoiled, we have oppressed, we have caused grief to [our] father and mother, we have been obstinate, we have been wicked, we have corrupted, we have committed abominations, we have strayed and caused others to stray.  And we have veered from Your good commandments and laws, but it has not benefited us.  But You are righteous regarding whatever has befallen us, for You have acted with truth and it is we who have caused wickedness.  God, You are slow to anger and the Master of compassion; The greatness of Your compassion and kindness You made known to the humble one, in ancient times.  And such is it written in Your Torah: “Adonai descended in the cloud and stood there with him, and called out with the Name – Adonai.”  And there it states: “Adonai passed by before him and called out: ‘Adonai, Adonai,  1) God,  2) compassioned One,  3) gracious One,  4)Who is slow  5) to anger  6)and abounding in kindness  7) and faithfulness –   8)He keeps kindness  9) for thousands [of generations],  10) bears iniquity,  11) sin,  12) and transgression,  13) and absolves [those who repent].’”  Compassionate One, Gracious One, we have sinned before You; be merciful to us and help us.

One goes back to sit

[Psalm 25]
[A psalm] by David: To You, Adonai, I shall lift up my soul.  My God, it is in You that I place my trust, let me not be humiliated – let not my enemies rejoice on account of me.  May also all who place their hope in You not be humiliated; let those who needlessly betray be humiliated.  Adonai, let me know Your ways; teach me Your paths.  Lead me in your truth and teach me, for You are God of my salvation; [in] You I place my hope all day.  Recall Your mercies and kindnesses, Adonai, for they have existed from ever.  The transgressions of my youth, and my sins, do not recall; that [which is worthy] of Your kindness, recall for me, for the sake of Your goodness, Adonai.  Adonai is good and upright, He therefore guides sinners in the way [of repentance].  He leads the humble in justice and teaches the humble His way.  All the ways of Adonai are kindness and truth for those who keep His covenant and testimonies.  For the sake of Your Name, Adonai, forgive my iniquity though it is great.  Who is the man who fears Adonai? – He (Adonai) shall teach him the way to choose.  His soul will rest in goodness and his descendants shall inherit the land.  Adonai’s secret [does He reveal] to those who fear Him, and His covenant [does He teach] so as to inform them.  My eyes always [look] toward Adonai, for He shall remove my feed from the trap.  Turn to me and be gracious to me, for I am alone and destitute.  My heartaches have increased; bring me out of my distress.  Behold my afflication and my toil and forgive all my sins.  Behold my enemies for they are many – with wanton hate do they detest me.  Protect my soul and rescue me; let me not be humiliated, for I have taken refuge in You.  Innocence and uprightness shall protect me, for I have placed my hope in You.  O God, redeem Israel from all its troubles.  And He will redeem Israel from all its iniquities.  Adonai, God of Israel!  Turn away from Your wrath and reconsider the evil [planned] for Your people.  Our Father, out King, You are our Father!  Our Father, our King, we have no King but You.  Our Father, our King, have mercy on us.  Our Father, our King, be gracious to us and answer us, although we do not possess [good] deeds.  Deal with us with kindness for the sake of Your great Name, and save us.  And we know not what [more] to do, but our eyes [look] to You.  Recall Your mercies and kindnesses, Adonai, for they have existed from ever.  May Your kindness be upon us, Adonai, as we have hoped in You.  Do not recall for us the iniquities of the earlier [generations]; quickly send Your mercies for us, for we have become very wretched.  Our help is in the Name of Adonai, Creator of heaven and earth.  Be gracious to us, Adonai, be gracious to us, for we have been filled with much disgrace.  In [times of] anger, recall [Your] mercy.  In [times of] anger, recall [Your] love.  In [times of] anger, recall “the binding.”  In [times of] anger, recall innocence.  Adonai, save!  May the King answer us on the day that we call.  For He is aware of our inclination and remembers that we are [but] dust.  Help us, God of our salvation, for the sake of the glory of Your Name, and rescue us and absolve our sins for the sake of Your Name.

Here, everyday, except for Mondays and Thursdays, the leader recites «Hatzi (Half) Kaddish»

On Mondays and Thursdays, one recites below (while standing):

God, King, Who sits [in judgement] on a throne of mercy and acts with kindness, Who forgives the iniquities of His people, removes [sins] one by one, abundantly grants forgiveness to transgressors and pardon to sinners, Who performs righteous deeds with all [those of] flesh and spirit; not according to their wickedness does He exact retribution.  God, You taught us to recite the Thirteen Attributes [of Mercy], [therefore,] recall for us today the covenant of the Thirteen [Attributes], as You made known to the humble one in ancient times.  Such is it written in Your Torah: “Adonai descended in the cloud and stood there with him, and called out with the Name – Adonai.”  And there it states: “Adonai passed by before him and called out: ‘Adonai, Adonai,  1) God,  2) compassioned One,  3) gracious One,  4)Who is slow  5) to anger  6)and abounding in kindness  7) and faithfulness –   8)He keeps kindness  9) for thousands [of generations],  10) bears iniquity,  11) sin,  12) and transgression,  13) and absolves [those who repent].’”

Some only read this on Mondays:

Men of faith have vanished – those who come with the strength of their [good] deeds, [men who] are strong [enough] to stand up to any breach, [and] repel the [harsh] decrees.  They were for us a wall [of protection] and a refuge in times of rage.  They lulled [God’s] anger with their whispered [prayers], and restrained [His] wrath with their cries.  Before they called out to You, You answered them – those who knew how to beseech and appease.  As a father did You take pity [on them] for their sake – You did not turn them away empty-handed.  But due to our many iniquities, we have lost them, they were taken from us because of our sins.  They have departed to [their] resting places and abandoned us to lament.  They are no more – those who encircled us with protection; those who turned back anger have diminished.  Those who withstood any breach are no more, those who were worthy to appease You have disappeared.  We have roamed the four corners [of the earth], but have found no remedy.  We [now] return to You, ashamed of ourselves, to seek You out in the morning, O God, in our time of troubles.

God, King, Who sits [in judgment] on a throne of mercy and acts with kindness, Who forgives the iniquities of His people, removes [sins] one by one, abundantly grants forgiveness to transgressors and pardon to sinners, Who performs righteous deeds with all [those of] flesh and spirit; not according to their wickedness does He exact retribution.

Some only read this paragraph on Thursdays:

We have become dismayed from bad times, our strength has ebbed, from troubles.  We have become extremely debased; we have been humbled to the ground.  Compassionate One!  Such is our nature – we are obstinate and rebellious.  With our mouth we cry out, “We have sinned!”  but our heart is crooked and stubborn.  Supreme One! Your mercy is from ever; forgiveness is with You.  [You,] Who reconsiders the evil [we deserve], [and] diverts [judgement] toward kindness – do not conceal Yourself at times like these, for we are in great distress.  May all become aware of Your goodness and kindness with us.  Seal the mouth of Stan and let him not denounce us;  direct Your rage at him and let him be silent.  May an advocate arise to defend us, let him relate our uprightness.  Your ways, O compassionate and gracious One, You revealed to the trusted one of Your house.  When he pleaded with You then, You made Your faithfulness known to him.

Our God, God of our forefathers!  Do not cause us to be annihilated [when] Your hand assumes the role of judgment.  When [the time for] admonishing [us] comes before You, do not erase our name from Your book.  When You approach [the time] to determine our chastisement, may Your mercies take priority over Your anger.  When You observe the meagerness of our deeds, let righteousness approach from before You.  Teach us when we cry out to You, ordain our salvation in response to prayer.  Return the captive of the tents of the innocent one (Yaakov); see that his doorways have become desolate.  Remember that which You proclaimed:  The Testimony (i.e., Torah) shall not be forgotten by his children.  Remove the seal of Your Testament, express Your secrets in Your teachings.  The center [of the world] – please, let it not be deprived of drink.  God, show Your awareness of Israel who show their awareness of You, and destroy the nations who show no awareness of You.  For You shall bring back to the fortress the captives who were bound to their hope.

What can we say before You – the One Who dwells on high, and what can we relate before You – the One Who resides in the heavens, for, surely, that which is hidden and that which is revealed, You know.  You know the secrets of the universe and the hidden mysteries of all who are living.  You search out all [man’s] innermost chambers, and see through emotions and thoughts.  Nothing is hidden from You and nothing is concealed from before Your eyes.  May it be Your will, Adonai, our God, God of our forefathers, that You forgive us for all our transgressions and absolve for us all our iniquities, and forgive and pardon all our sins, and You should pardon our iniquity and our transgression, and make us Your heritage.  Forgive us, our Father, for we have transgressed, pardon us, our King, for we have sinned, for You are Adonai, good and forgiving, and abounding in kindness to all who call to You.  For the sake of Your Name, Adonai, forgive my iniquity though it is great.  For the sake of Your Name, Adonai, allow me to live; in Your righteousness, extricate my soul from distress.  Adonai, [Master of] hosts, is with us; a strength for us is God of Yaakov, Selah!  Adonai, [Master of] hosts, fortunate is the man who trusts in You.  Adonai, save!  May the King answer us on the day that we call.  Bring us back to You, Adonai, and we shall return; renew our days as of old.

And He, the merciful One, will forgive iniquity, and not destroy [man]; He will frequently turn aside His anger, and not arouse all His wrath [at once].  [I ask of] You, Adonai, do not withhold Your mercy from me; may Your kindness and faithfulness always protect me.  Save us Adonai, our God, and gather us from among the nations to give thanks to Your holy Name, and to find ourselves glorified in Your praise.  If You were to keep an accounting of sins, O God, [then,] Adonai, who could survive?  For forgiveness is [solely] with You so that You may be feared.  He did not treat us according to our sins nor did He punish us according to our iniquities.  [Even] were our iniquities to testify against us, Adonai, deal [with us with kindness] for the sake of Your Name.  Recall Your mercies and kindnesses, Adonai, for they have existed from ever.  May Adonai answer you on the day of distress; may it strengthen you – [the mention of] the Name of God of Yaakov.  Adonai, save!  May the King answer us on the day that we call.  Our Father, our King, be gracious to us and answer us, for we do not possess [good] deeds.  Deal with us with beneficence in accordance with Your bountiful compassion, and help us for the sake of Your Name.

[Daniel 9,15-19]
And now, Adonai, our God – You Who have brought Your people out of the land of Egypt with a mighty hand and thereby made for Yourself a name as it is to this day – [we confess that] we have sinned and we have been wicked.  Adonai, in accordance with all Your righteousness, may Your anger and wrath be turned back now from Your city, Jerusalem, Your holy mountain, for it is due [only] to our transgressions and the iniquities of our forefathers that Jerusalem and Your people have become the subject of disgrace for all [the nations] that surround us.  And now, [we plead,] listen, our God, to the prayer of Your servant and to his supplications, and shine Your countenance upon Your desolate Sanctuary, for the sake of Adonai.  Bend Your ear, My God, and hear [our prayers], open Your eyes and see our desolation, and the city upon which Your Name is proclaimed, for it is not on [the merit of] our righteousness that we set forth our pleas before You, but on [account of] Your bountiful compassion.  Adonai, hear! Adonai forgive!  Adonai, listen and do!  Do not delay.  [Do so] for Your own sake, my God, for Your Name is invoked upon Your city and upon Your people.

Our Father, the merciful Father – show us a sign for the good, and gather in our dispersed from the four corners of the earth, so that the nations will recognize and know that You, Adonai, are our Father.  We are the clay and You are our molder and we are all Your handiwork.  Our Father, our King, our Rock and our Redeemer, take pity, Adonai, on Your people, and do not allow Your heritage to be disgraced, to be dominated by the nations;  why should they say among the nations, “Where is their God?” We are aware, Adonai, that we have sinned, and there is no one to stand up for us; only Your great Name will stand up for us at times of trouble.  And as a father has mercy on his children, so may You have mercy on us.  Have compassion for Your people and be merciful to Your heritage.  Take pity, please, in accordance with Your bountiful compassion, be gracious to us, our King, and answer us.  Righteousness is Yours, Adonai, Who performs wonders at all times.  Please look and please save the sheep of Your pasture.  Do not allow anger to dominate us, for salvation is Yours, Adonai – our hope is in You.  God of forgiveness, we beseech You, please forgive, for You are God, good and forgiving.  We beseech You, King, compassionate and gracious, remember and look toward the Covenant Between the Pieces; and may it appear before You – the binding of the only [son].  And for the sake of our Patriarch Yisrael, do not abandon us, our Father, do not forsake us, our King, and do not forget us, our Creator, and do not cause us to be annihilated in our exile, for You are God, King, gracious and compassionate.

There is no one like You – gracious and compassionate – [Adonai,] our God; there is no one like You – God, slow to anger and abundant in kindness and faithfulness – save us and have mercy on us, from rage and anger, rescue us.  Remember Your servants, Avraham, Yishak, and Yaakov, and do not pay heed to the obstinacy of this people, nor to its wickedness, nor to its sins.  Turn away from Your wrathful anger and reconsider the evil [planned] for Your people.  Remove from us the plague of death, for You are compassionate; for such is Your way, to do undeserved kindness in each and every generation.  We beseech You, Adonai, save now;  We beseech You, Adonai, bring success now.  We beseech You, Adonai, answer us on the day that we call.  It is in You, Adonai, that we have hoped;  it is for You, Adonai, that we have waited; it is for You, Adonai, that we long.  Do not be silent and allow us to suffer, for the nations have said [regarding us], “Their hope is lost!”  Every knee will [then] kneel to You, and every erect being will bow down before You.

[O God,] Who opens [His] hand for repentance to accept sinners and transgressors, our soul has become panic-stricken by the extremity of our depression;  do not forget us eternally – arise and save us.  Do not pour out Your wrath upon us, for we are Your people, the members of Your covenant.  God!  Look [and see how] our honor has sunk [so] among the nations [that] they detest us like the impurity of a menstruant.  How much longer will Your might be captive and Your splendor be in the hand of an enemy.  Let them see and become shamed and broken of their strength.  Awaken Your might and save us for the sake of Your Name.  Let not our hardships be trivial before You; quickly send Your mercies to us during the time of our troubles.  Not for our sake – but for Your sake – act, and do not destroy the last trace of our remnant, for our eyes long for You, for You are God, King, gracious and compassionate.  Recall our testimony [that,] every day, continually, we say twice, with love: Hear, O Israel!  Adonai, [Who is] our God, Adonai is One.

After the Ark is opened and before the Sefer Torah is taken out, all rise and recite:

God, Who is slow to anger and abounding in kindness and faithfulness, do not admonish us in Your anger.  Take pity, Adonai, on Israel, Your people, and save us from all evil.  We have sinned to You; Master, please forgive in accordance with Your bountiful compassion, O God.

God, Who is slow to anger and is filled with compassion, do not conceal Your countenance from us.  Take pity, Adonai, on the remnant of Israel, Your people, and rescue us from all evil.  We have sinned to You; Master, please forgive in accordance with Your bountiful compassion, O God.

On days that Tahanun is not recited, the following verses are said:

May Adonai, our God, be with us as He was with our forefathers – may He not abandon us nor forsake us.  Save Your people and bless Your heritage, provide for them and uplift them forever.  For the sake of David, Your servant, do not turn away the face of Your anointed one.

When the Sefer Torah is taken out of the Ark and brought to the reading platform, the hazzan and congregation say in unison:

Blessed is the omnipresent, Who gave the Torah to His people, Israel; blessed is He.  Praiseworthy is the people for whom this is so; praiseworthy is the people that Adonai is its God.
Proclaim Adonai’s greatness with me, and let us exalt His Name together.  Exalt Adonai, our God, and prostrate yourselves at His footstool, [for] He is holy!  Exalt Adonai, our God, and prostrate yourselves at His holy mountain, for Adonai, our God, is holy.  There is none holy as Adonai, for there is none besides You, and there is no Rock (i.e., power) like our God.  For who is God besides Adonai, and who is a Rock besides our God?  The Torah, [which] Moshe commanded us, [is] a heritage for the congregation of Yaakov.  It is a tree of life to those who hold onto it, and those who support it are praiseworthy.  Its ways are ways of pleasantness, and all its paths are peace.  There is an abundance of peace for those who love Your Torah, and for them there is no obstacle.  May Adonai give strength to His people; may Adonai bless His people with peace.  When I call out the Name of Adonai, proclaim greatness to our God.  All [of you] should attribute power to God, and give honor to the Torah!

When the Sefer Torah is raised and the writing is shown to the congregants, the congregants say:

This is the Torah that Moshe set before the Children of Israel.  The Torah, [which] Moshe commanded us, [is] a heritage for the congregation of Yaakov. God – His way is perfect; Adonai’s statement is pure (i.e., flawless); He is a shield for all who take refuge in Him.

Sefer Torah is read on Mondays and Thursdays:

Blessing for Sefer Torah

The person who is called to the Torah says:(RABBIS)  BLESS ADONAI, THE BLESSED ONE.

And the congregation responds:BLESSED IS ADONAI, THE BLESSED ONE, FOREVER AND EVER.

The person who is called to the Torah continues:BLESSED IS ADONAI, THE BLESSED ONE, FOREVER AND EVER.

BLESSED ARE YOU, ADONAI, OUR GOD, KING OF THE UNIVERSE, WHO CHOSE US FROM AMONG ALL THE NATIONS AND GAVE US HIS TORAH.  BLESSED ARE YOU, ADONAI, WHO GIVES THE TORAH.

After the hazzan reads the respective Torah portion, the person who is called to Torah says:

BLESSED ARE YOU, ADONAI, OUR GOD, KING OF THE UNIVERSE, WHO GAVE US HIS TORAH – THE TORAH OF TRUTH, AND IMPLANTED WITHIN US ETERNAL LIFE.  BLESSED ARE YOU, ADONAI, WHO GIVES THE TORAH.

Adonai, may Your kindness be upon us as we have placed our hope in You.

*Ashre

Praiseworthy are those who dwell in You house and also praise You, Selah.  Praiseworthy is the people for whom this is so; praiseworthy is the people that Adonai is its God.

[Psalm 145]
A praise [composed] by David:   I shall exalt You, my God, the King, and bless Your Name forever and ever.  I shall bless You every day and praise Your Name forever and ever.  Adonai is great and exceedingly praised, and His greatness is unfathomable.  Generation to generation shall laud Your deeds, and relate Your mighty acts.  [Of] the brilliance of the glory of Your splendor, and [of] Your wondrous acts shall I speak.  Of the Might of Your awesome acts they shall speak, and I [too] shall relate Your greatness.  A recollection of Your bountiful goodness they shall express, and Your righteousness they shall joyfully proclaim.  Adonai is gracious and compassionate, slow to anger and great in kindness.  Adonai is good to all, and His compassion rests on all His works.  All Your works will thank You, Adonai, and Your pious people will bless You.  They shall speak of the glory of Your kingdom, and talk of Your great power, to make His mighty acts known to mankind as well as the glory of the brilliance of His kingdom.  Your kingdom is a kingdom for all worlds and Your reign is for each and every generation.  Adonai supports all who fall and stands upright all who are bent over.  The eyes of all look hopefully to You, and You give them their food at its proper time.   (One should recite the following verse whire spreading his hands to Heaven.  It must be said with utmost concentration for it expresses man’s dependence upon God for his livelihood. You open Your hand and satisfy every living thing with its wants.  Adonai is righteous in all His ways and magnanimous in all His deeds.  Adonai is near to all who call to Him – to all who call to Him with sincerity.  He will fulfill the will of those who fear Him, and hear their cries and save them.  Adonai protects all who love Him and destroys all who are evil.  My mouth shall speak the praise of Adonai, and all flesh shall bless His holy Name forever and ever.

And we will bless God from now and until eternity; Haleluyah! (Praise God!)

*Lamnasseyah
On days that Vidduy is not said, the following psalm is skipped:

[Psalm 20]

For the musician, a psalm by David: May Adonai answer you on the day of distress; may it strengthen you – [the mention of] the Name of God of Yaakov.  May He send your help from the Sanctuary, and may He support you from Zion.  May He remember all your meal-offerings, and [deem] ample your burnt-offerings, Selah!  May He grant you as your heart [desires], and may He fulfill your every plan.  May we rejoice at your deliverance, and take pride in the Name of our God; may Adonai fulfill all your requests.  I now know that Adonai has delivered His anointed one; He shall answer him from His holy heavens, with the mighty deliverance of His right hand.  Some [trust] in chariots and others, in horses, but we shall call the Name of Adonai, our God.  They [were forced to] kneel and they fell [dead], but we rose up and were strengthened.  Adonai, save!  May the King answer us on the day that we call.

“And a redeemer shall come to Zion and to those who shall turn from sin – from amongst Yaakov,” so says Adonai.  “And as for Me, this shall be My covenant with them,” said Adonai, “My Spirit which is upon you and My words that I have put in your mouth, shall not depart from your mouth, [nor] from the mouths of your children, [nor] from the mouths of your children’s children,” said Adonai, “from now and forever.”  And You are holy, [and] await the praises of Israel.  Each [angel] calls to the other and says, “Holy! Holy! Holy is Adonai, [Master] of hosts; the entire world is filled with his glory!(Continue in an underdone…) And they receive consent from one another and they say: “Holy in the highest heavens above, the abode of His Divine Presence; holy upon the earth, a product of His might; holy forever and for all eternity is Adonai, [Master] of hosts; the entire world is filled with the brilliance of His glory.”  (Continue aloud…) And a wind carried me, and from behind me I heard a great thunderous voice [saying], “Blessed is the glory of Adonai from His abode!”  (Continue in an underdone…) And a wind carried me, and from behind me I heard a great thunderous voice giving praise and saying, “Blessed is the glory of Adonai from the place of the abode of His Divine Presence!”  (Continue aloud…) Adonai will reign forever and ever.  (Continue in an underdone…) Adonai – His Kingdom is established forever and for all eternity. (Continue aloud…) Adonai, God of Avraham, Yitzhak and Yisrael, our Patriarchs, safeguard this forever for the sake of the inclination of the thoughts [in the] heart of Your people, and direct their hearts toward You.  And He, the merciful One, will forgive iniquity, and not destroy [man]; He will frequently turn aside His anger and not arouse all His wrath [at once].  For You are Adonai, good and forgiving, and abounding in kindness to all who call to You.  Your righteousness is an everlasting righteousness, and Your Torah is truth.  May You grant truth to Yaakov, and kindness to Avraham, as You swore to our forefathers from the earliest days.  Blessed is Adonai, Who heaps [benefaction] upon us daily – God, our salvation, Selah.  Adonai, [Master] of hosts is with us; a strength to us is God of Yaakov, Selah!  Adonai, [Master] of hosts, fortunate is the man who trusts in You.  Adonai, save!  May the King answer us on the day that we call.

(When saying the beginning of the follow verse, one should have in mind that he is prepared to give us his life to sanctify the Name of God.)

Blessed is our God, Who created us for His honor, set us apart from those who stray, gave us the Torah of truth, and implanted within us eternal life.  May He open our hearts in His Torah, and place within our hearts love for Him and awe of Him, [so as] to do His will and to serve Him wholeheartedly.  May we not toil in vain nor produce for naught.  May it be Your will, Adonai, our God, God of our forefathers, that we should keep Your statutes and Your commandments in This World, and may we merit and live and attain goodness and blessing for the life in the World to Come.  So that the glory (i.e., soul) should sing to You and not be silent; (pause) Adonai, my God, I will forever thank You.  Adonai wished for the sake of his (Israel’s) righteousness, [therefore,] He made the Torah great and gave strength.  And they shall place their trust in You – those who know Your Name, for You have not abandoned those who seek You, Adonai.  Adonai, our Master, how mighty is Your Name throughout the entire world.  Strengthen your hearts and be courageous – all [you] who place your hope in Adonai.

 The Leader recites «Kaddish Titkabbal»

Exalted and sanctified be His great Name.(Amen) In the world that He has created according to His will, and may He let His sovereignty have dominion, and cause His redemption to sprout and bring near the Mashiach.(Amen) In your lifetime and in your days and in the lifetime of the entire House of Israel, speedily and at a time that comes soon, and say amen.(Amen) May His great Name be blessed forever and for all eternity. Blessed and praised and glorified and exalted and raised up and honored and elevated and lauded be the Name of the Holy One, Blessed is He.(Amen) Beyond more than any blessing and song praise and consolation that are uttered in the world, and say amen.(Amen)

May our prayers and pleas be accepted, together with the prayers and pleas of the entire House of Israel, before our Father in heaven and earth, and say amen.(Amen)

May there be abundant peace from heaven, and life, contentment, salvation, consolation, deliverance, healing, redemption, pardon, atonement, comfort and relief for us and for His entire nation, Israel; and say amen.(Amen)
May the One Who makes peace in the heavens, may He make peace upon us, and for His entire nation, Israel, and say amen.(Amen)

On days that the Torah is read, all say the following verses while the Sefer Torah is being carried back to the Ark:

Let them praise the Name of Adonai, for His Name alone is powerful; His splendor is over the earth and heavens.  He has uplifted a horn (i.e., strength) for His nation – [it shall be] a praise for all His pious ones, for the Children of Israel, His intimate people; Halleluyah! (Praise God!)  It is Adonai Who is God!  It is Adonai Who is God!  In the heavens above and on the earth below there is no other!  There is none like You among the powers, Adonai, and there is nothing like Your handiwork.  [When it (the Ark) rested, he (Moshe) would say, “Return, Adonai, [to the] ten thousands of Israel.”]  Bring us back to You, Adonai, and we shall return; renew our days as of old.

On days that Tahanun (Vidduy) is not said ,Tefillah LeDavid is omitted; the prayers continue with Bet Yaakov.

Tefillah LeDavid

[Psalm 86]

A prayer by David: Bend Your ear, Adonai, [and] answer me, for I am poor and destitute.  Protect my soul for I am pious.  You, Who are my God, save Your servant, who trusts in You.  Be gracious to me, Adonai, for it is to You that I call all day.  Bring joy to Your servant’s soul, for it is yo You, Adonai, that my soul is directed.  For You are Adonai, good and forgiving, and abundant in kindness to all who call yo You.  Hear my prayer, Adonai, and heed the sound of my pleas.  On the day of my distress I call yo You, for [I know that] You will answer me.  There is none like You among the powers, Adonai, and there is nothing like Your handiwork.  All the nations that You have created shall come and prostrate themselves before You, Adonai, and they shall glorify You Name.  For You are great and a performer of wonders, You, alone, O God.  Teach me Your way, Adonai, [so that] I may walk in Your truth; unify my heart to fear Your Name.  I will [then] thank You, Adonai, my God, with all my heart, and I will glorify Your Name forever.  For Your kindness to me has been great, and You have rescued my soul from the deepest abyss (i.e., Gehinnom).  God, evil people rose up against me, and gang of powerful tyrants sought [to destroy] my soul, and they did not set You before them.  You are Adonai, God, compassionate and gracious, slow to anger and abounding in kindness and faithfulness.  Turn to me and be gracious to me; give Your strength to Your servant, and save the son of Your handmaid.  Demonstrate for me a sign for good, so that my enemies might see and be humiliated, for You, Adonai, have helped me and consoled me.

Bet Yaakov

House of Yaakov, come, let us walk by the light of Adonai.  For all the nations shall walk – each in the name of his god, but we shall walk in the Name of Adonai, our God, forever and ever.

[I Kings: 8,57-60]

May Adonai, our God, be with us as He was with our forefathers – may He not abandon us nor forsake us – [so as] to bend our hearts to Him, to walk in all His ways and to keep His commandments, His statutes as His laws, which He commanded our forefathers.  Let these words of mine, which I have pleaded before Adonai, be near Adonai, our God, day and night, [so as] to provide fore the needs of His servant and the needs of His people, Israel, each thing on the day [it is needed] – so that all the nations of the world may know that it is Adonai Who is God; there is no other.

[Psalm 124]

A song of the steps by David: Were it not for Adonai, Who was with us – let Israel now say – were it not for Adonai, Who was with us when men rose up against us: then they would have swallowed us alive when their anger raged against us; then the [stormy] waters would have flooded us, the [rushing] stream would have engulfed us; then would we have been engulfed by the turbulent waters.  Blessed is Adonai, Who did not hand us over (i.e., abandon us) as prey to their teeth.  Our soul escaped as a bird from the snare of trappers – the snare broke open and we escaped.  Our help is through the Name of Adonai, Creator of heavens and earth.

Psalms for each day of the week:

On Sundays:

Today is one day since the holy Shabbat; [the following is] the song that the Levites would recite on the rostrum [on this day]:

A psalm by David:  The earth and all it contains are Adonai’s – the inhabited earth and all who dwell on it.  For He founded it upon the seas and erected it upon the rivers.  Who shall ascend the mountain of Adonai, and who shall stand in His holy place?  He whose hands are clean and whose heart is pure, who has not sworn in vain by My Soul, nor sworn falsely.  He shall receive blessing from Adonai, and benefaction from God of his salvation.  This [type of generation] is a generation of those who seek Him, who seek Your Presence, [the descendants of] Yaakov, Selah!  Raise up your heads, [you] gates, and become uplifted, [you] eternal portals, and let the glorious King enter.  Who is this glorious King?  It is Adonai, Who is powerful and mighty; Adonai, Who is mighty in war.  Raise up your heads, [you] gates, and lift up, [you] eternal portals, and let the glorious King enter.  Who is this glorious King?  Adonai, [Master] of hosts – He is the glorious King, Selah!

On Mondays:

Today is the second day since the holy Shabbat; [the following is] the song that the Levites would recite on the rostrum [on this day]:

[Psalm 48] A song, a psalm by the sons of Korah:  Adonai is great and exceedingly praised in the city of our God, His holy mountain.  A most beautiful scene, and a source of joy for the entire land [is] Mount Zion – at the northern side – the city of a great king.  [When] God shall be in her palaces He shall become known as [our] strength.  For behold, the kings have gathered and have set out together [against Jerusalem].  [But] they saw and were astounded; they panicked and quickly fled.  Trembling took hold of them there, terror, like [that of] a woman in labor.  With an easterly wind You smashed the ships of Tarshish.  As we had heard so have we seen, in the city of Adonai, [Master] of hosts, in the city of our God; may God reestablish it forever, Selah!  God, we had hoped for Your kindness in the midst of Your Sanctuary.  [As great] as is Your Name, God, equally [great] is Your praise in all corners of the earth; righteousness fills Your right hand.  Mount Zion will then rejoice, and the daughters of Judah shall delight, as a result of Your judgments.  Circle Zion and walk around her, count her towers.  Set your heart to her walls, raise up her palaces, so that you may relate [her greatness] to a later generation.  For this God is our God for all eternity, He will lead us like children.

On Tuesdays:

Today is the third day since the holy Shabbat; [the following is] the song that the Levites would recite on the rostrum [on this day]:

[Psalm 82] A psalm by Asaf: God is present in an assembly of judges – amidst judges does He judge.  [You, judges,] until when will you judge dishonestly, and show favor to the wicked, Selah!  Judge the destitute and the orphan; rule in favor of the poor and impoverished.  Rescue the destitute and the indigent, deliver them from the hand of the wicked.  They do not know nor do they understand that they [cause themselves to] walk in the darkness and cause to be undermined all the foundations of the world.  I had said that you are [like] angels and that you are all higher beings.  However, you shall die like Adam and fall as one of the princes.  Arise, O God, and judge the world, for You will inherit all the nations.

On Wednesdays:

Today is the fourth day since the holy Shabbat; [the following is] the song that the Levites would recite on the rostrum [on this day]:

[Psalm 94] [You are] God of retribution, Adonai, O God of retribution, appear!  Arise, Judge of the world, repay the arrogant their due.  How long will the wicked – Adonai – how long will the wicked rejoice?  [How long will they] express themselves and speak with arrogance, [and how long] will all the evildoers be proud?  Adonai, Your people do they debase and Your heritage do they persecute.  They kill widow and proselyte and they murder orphans.  And they say, “God does not see, God of Yaakov does not understand.”  Comprehend, you imbeciles of the people, and you fools, when will you become wise?  Shall the One Who affixed the ear not hear?  Shall the One Who formed the eye not look? Shall the One Who punishes nations not admonish – He Who teaches man knowledge?  Adonai knows the thoughts of man – that they are emptiness.  Fortunate is the man whom You chastise, O God, and whom You teach from Your Torah, so that he should be secure from bad times, until a deep abyss is dug for the wicked.  For Adonai will not forsake His people, nor will He abandon His heritage.  For until righteousness [prevails] shall the judgement last, and following it, all of upright heart [shall gather].  Who shall rise up for me against the evil doers?  Who shall stand by me against the workers of iniquity?  Were it not for Adonai Who is a help for me, my soul would soon have dwelt in silence.  If I said, “My foot slipped,” Your kindness, Adonai, would support me.  When many depressing thoughts were within me, Your consoling words would cheer my soul.  Can a throne of evil be associated with You – one who fashions injustice into law?  They gather [in ambush] against the life of the righteous, and they shall incriminate innocent blood.  But Adonai was a strength for me and my God was the Rock of my refuge.  He will turn their forceful acts against them and cut them down with their own evil – Adonai, our God, will cut them down.

On Thursdays:

Today is the fifth day since the holy Shabbat; [the following is] the song that the Levites would recite on the rostrum [on this day]:

[Psalm 81] For the musician, set to the gittit, by Asaf:  Sing with joy to God, our Strength; sound the shofar to God of Yaakov.  Raise [your voice] in song and sound the drum, the pleasant harp together with the lyre.  Blow the shofar on the [New] Moon, on the designated day of our festival.  For it is a statute for Israel, [a day of] judgment for God of Yaakov.  [The day when royal] vestments were put on Yosef, when he went out [as viceroy] over the land of Egypt – “I can understand a language I never knew.” [God said:] “I removed his (Israel’s) shoulder from the load and withdrew his (Israel’s) hands from the pot.  In trouble you called and I rescued you, I answered your secret call with thunder, [though] I was sure of you at the waters of Meriyah, Selah!  [Therefore,] listen, My people, and I will warn you – Israel, if only you would listen to Me.  There should not be among you any foreign god, nor should you bow to [any] alien god.  [For] I am Adonai, your God, Who brought you up from the land of Egypt; open your mouth wide and I will fill it.  But My people did not heed My voice, Israel did not desire Me.  So I banished them, [since they followed] the gaze of their hearts, they walked in their evil counsel.  Would that My people would listen to Me, – [would that] Israel would walk in My ways.  I would soon subdue their enemies, and turn My hand against their oppressors.”  The haters of Adonai would then deny [their hatred] to Him, but their destiny would be [sealed] forever.  And He will feed him (Israel) from the fat of the wheat, and satiate him with honey drawn from stone.

On Fridays:

Today is the sixth day since the holy Shabbat; [the following is] the song that the Levites would recite on the rostrum [on this day]:

[Psalm 93] Adonai has reigned, He has attired Himself in pride; Adonai has attired [and] girded Himself with might; also the world is set firm, [so that] it should not falter.  Your throne has been established of old, You have always been.  The rivers have lifted up, Adonai – the rivers have lifted up their voice; the rivers will lift up their nadir.  [Mightier] than the roars of many waters [and than] the powerful waves of the sea, are You mighty in the heights, Adonai.  Your testimonies are extremely trustworthy concerning Your House, the Holy Dwelling; Adonai, [may it last] for long days.

After the psalm for each day, Hoshienu (Save us) is said.  (It is the custom of some, however, not to recite it on Fridays.).

Save us, Adonai, our God, and gather us from among the nations, to give thanks to Your holy Name and to find ourselves glorified in Your praise.  Blessed is Adonai, God of Israel, from ever and forever; and all the people will say: Amen; Haleluyah! (Praise God!) Blessed from Zion is Adonai, Who dwells in Jerusalem; Haleluyah! (Praise God!) Blessed is Adonai, God, God of Israel, Who alone does wonders.  And blessed is the name of His glory forever; may His glory fill the entire world; Amen and Amen.

Kaddish «YEHE SHELAMA»

Place your hope in Adonai; be strong, and He will strengthen your heart; place your hope in Adonai.  There is none holy as Adonai, for there is none besides You, and there is no Rock (i.e., power) like our God.  For who is God besides Adonai, and who is a Rock (i.e., power) besides our God.

There is none like our God; there is none like our Master; there is none like our King; there is none like our savior.  Who is like our God? Who is like our Master?  Who is like our King?  Who is like our savior?  Let us give thanks to our God; let us give thanks to our Master; let us give thanks to our King; let us give thanks to our savior.  Blessed is our God; blessed is our Master; blessed is our King; blessed is our savior.  It is You Who are our God; It is You Who are our Master; It is You Who are our King; It is You Who are our savior.  You will save us.  May You arise and be merciful to Zion, for the time has come to favor her, for the appointed time has arrived.

Ketoret (Incense)

It is You Who are Adonai, our God, before Whom our forefathers burned the incense spices during the time that the Holy Temple stood, as You commanded them through Moshe, Your prophet, as is written in Your Torah:  “Adonai said to Moshe: Take for yourself spices – balsam sap, onycha, and galbanum, spices and pure frankincense – each shall be of equal weight.  Prepare it (i.e., the mixture) as incense, a compound, the work of a spice-mixer, well blended, pure [and] holy.  Grind it fine and place some of it before the Testimony in the Tent of Meeting, [in] which I shall meet with you; the holiest of holy [offerings] shall [the incense-offering] be for you.”

It is stated [also]: “Aharon shall burn upon it incense spices; each and every morning, when he cleans the lamps he shall burn it.  Also, when Aharon lights the lamps in the afternoon, he shall burn it – a continual incense-offering before Adonai, throughout your generations.”

The Rabbis taught [in a Baraita]:  How was the compounding of the incense done? 368 maneh did it contain: 365 [maneh] corresponding to the number of days in the solar year – one maneh for each day, half of it [offered] in the morning and half of it in the afternoon – and an additional three maneh from which the High Priest brought in his [two] handfuls on Yom Kippur.  He would return these [three maneh] to the mortar on the day before Yom Kippur so as to fulfill the requirement that it be the absolute finest.  There were a total of eleven spices in it, and they are:

1) Balsam,

2) onycha

3) galbanum and

4) frankincense – the weight of seventy maneh each;

5) myrrh,

6) cassia,

7) spikenard, and

8) saffron – the weight of sixteen maneh each;

9) twelve [maneh] of

10) three [maneh] of aromatic bark;

11)  nine [maneh] of cinnamon.

[He added also] nine kav of lye of Carsina; Cyprus wine, three se’ah and three kav – if one could not locate Cyprus wine he would bring old white wine; a quarter (kav) of salt of Sodom; and a small measure of a smoke-raising herb.  Rabbi Natan the Babylonian said: [He added] also a small measure of Jordan resin.  If he added to it fruit-honey, he rendered it unfit.  If he omitted [even] one of the spices, he is liable to death.  Rabban Shimon ben Gamliel says: the “Tzariy” was the sap that drips from the balsam tree. For what purpose is lye of Carsina added?  In order to rub the onycha with it so that it should become beautiful.  For what purpose is wine of Cyprus added?  In order to steep the onycha in it so that it should become pungent.  But is not urine more suitable for this purpose?  Nevertheless, we do not bring urine into the Temple out of respect.  It was taught [in a Baraita]: Rabbi Natan said:  When he ground [the incense] he would say, “Grind it very fine, very fine grind it,” for the [human] voice is beneficial for the spices.  If he compounded half [the required amount] it is valid; but, regarding  a third or a quarter, we have no tradition.  Said Rabbi Yehudah: This is the rule – If [it was compounded] in its correct proportion, then half [the required amount] is valid, but if he omitted [even] one of the spices, he is liable to death.  Bar Kappara taught: Once every 60 or 70 years the leftovers would accumulate to half [the annual requirement].  Bar Kappara taught also: Had he added into it (the incense) a kortov of fruit-honey no man could have withstood its [fabulous] aroma.  Why then do we not mix fruit-honey into it?  For the Torah has stated:  “For any leaven or fruit-honey – you may not burn of it a fire-offering to Adonai.”  Adonai, [Master of] hosts, is with us; a strength for us is God of Yaakov, Selah!  Adonai, [Master of] hosts!  Fortunate is the man who trusts in You.  Adonai, save!  May the King answer us on the day that we call.  May Adonai find pleasant the offering of Judah and Jerusalem as in the days of yore and the years of old.

[Tractate Megillah, 28b]  It was taught in the Academy of Eliyyahu: Whoever studies [Torah] laws every day is assured that he will be present in the World to Come, as it is stated: “The ways of the world are His.”  Do not read it “Halichot” (ways), but “Halachot” (laws).

[Tractate Berachot, 64a]  Rabbi Elazar said in the name of Rabbi Hanina: Torah scholars increase peace in the world, as it is stated:  “And all your children [shall be] students of Adonai and your children shall have much peace”;  do not read it “Banayeeh” (your children), but “Bonayeeh” (your builders, i.e., Torah scholars).  May there be peace within your walls and serenity within your palaces.  For the sake of my brothers and friends (i.e., Israel) I shall speak of peace amongst you.  For the sake of the House of Adonai, our God, I shall seek good for you.  [May you] see children [born] to your children [and] peace upon Israel.  There is an abundance of peace for those who love Your Torah, and for them there is no obstacle.  May Adonai give strength to His people; may Adonai bless His people with peace.

 Kaddish «AL ISRAEL»

Exalted and sanctified be His great Name (Amen!) in the world that He created according to His will.  May His kingdom reign, and may He cause His redemption to sprout, and may He hasten the coming of His Messiah (Amen!) in your lifetime and in your days, and in the lifetime of the entire House of Israel, speedily and very soon; and say: Amen. (Amen!)

(The next line is recited by the congregation and the mourners) May His great Name be blessed forever, and for all eternity.

Blessed, lauded, glorified, exalted, extolled, honored, upraised and praised be the Name of the Holy One, Blessed is He, (Amen!) above all the blessings, songs, praises and words of consolation that may be uttered in the world; and say: Amen. (Amen!)

Upon Israel, upon the Rabbis, upon their disciples, and upon all of the pupils of their disciples, who delve in the holy Torah in this place, and in each and every place – may there be for us, for them and for you – grace, kindness and compassion from the Master of heaven and earth; and say: Amen. (Amen!)

May there be abundant peace from heaven, and life, contentment, salvation, consolation, deliverance, healing, redemption, pardon, atonement, comfort and relief for us and for His entire nation, Israel; and say: Amen. (Amen!)

(In some congregations the mourners take three steps back at this point, bow to the left and say) He Who makes peace in His high places – (They straighten themselves then bow to the right and say) may He, in His compassion, make peace for us (They straighten themselves then bow forward and say) and for His entire nation, Israel;

(They straighten themselves and say) and say: Amen. (Amen!)

Person reciting Kaddish says: Bless Adonai, the blessed One!
Everyone responds: Blessed is Adonai, the blessed One!
The Leader continues: Blessed is Adonai, the blessed One, forever and ever!

(quick pause and bow)  But we prostrate ourselves before He Who is King over kings of kings, the Holy One, blessed is He.

[Psalm 27]

A psalm by David:  Adonai is my light and my salvation, [therefore,] whom shall I fear?  Adonai is the fortress of my life, [therefore,] whom shall I dread?  When evil people approach me to do me bodily harm – they are my oppressors and my enemies – they stumble and fall.  If an army encampment shall besiege me, my heart shall not fear; if war be waged against me, it is in this that I put my trust.  I ask one thing of Adonai – it is something for which I will [always] ask:  that I may dwell in the House of Adonai all the days of my life, [so as] to behold the pleasantness of Adonai, and to delve within His Sanctuary.  For He shall conceal me in His Tabernacle on the day of evil; He shall hide me in the cover of His tent, [and] lift me upon a rock fortress.  And now my He lift up my head over my enemies that surround me, and I shall slaughter in His tent offerings that are accompanied by song;  I shall sing and make music to Adonai.  Adonai, hear my voice when I call; favor me and answer me.  On Your behalf my heart has said [to me], “Seek My countenance”; [therefore,] Your countenance, Adonai, shall I seek.  Do not conceal Your Presence from me, do not turn Your servant away in anger;  You have [always] been my help, do not forsake or abandon me, God of my salvation.  For my father and mother have forsaken me, but Adonai has gathered me up.  Teach me, Adonai, Your way, and lead me on a straight path, to [spite] those who look [to my downfall].  Do not give me up to the will of my foes, for false witnesses have risen up against me who blurt out [testimonies of] violence.  [They would have done me in] were it not that I trusted to see the goodness of Adonai in the land of the living.  Place your hope in Adonai; be strong, and He will strengthen your heart; place your hope in Adonai.

Before one leaves the synagogue, it is proper to say:

Adonai, lead me in Your righteousness to spite those who look [to my downfall]; straighten Your path before me.

And Yaakov went on his way and angels of God met up with him.  And, upon seeing them, Yaakov said, “This is an encampment of God!”, and he named that place “Mahanayim.”

The Evening Prayer
 Jewish Law / Halacha ↗️

On Rosh Chodesh (beginning of new Jewish month), start here:

My soul, bless Adonai; Adonai, my God, You are greatly exalted; with beauty and splendor are You clothed. Enwrapped in light, garment-like, He spreads out the heavens like a curtain. He Who covers His upper chambers with water, He Who makes clouds His chariot, He Who walks upon wings of wind. He Who makes winds His messengers, flaming fires His servants. He Who established the earth upon its foundations, [so] that it shall never be moved.  The deep, He covered as with a garment; the waters remain on mountains. At Your shout they retreated, at Your thunderous voice they hastened away. They go up mountains, down into valleys, to the specific place You founded for them. You set a boundary [which] they may not cross, lest they return to cover the earth. He Who sends springs into streams to flow between the mountains; to water all the beasts of the fields; the wild ones quench their thirst. Over them dwell the birds of the sky, from among the branches, they give voice. [You] Who waters the mountains from His upper chambers, from the fruit of Your works the earth is sated. [You] Who causes grass to sprout for cattle, and vegetation for the labor of man, to bring forth bread from the earth; wine to cheer the heart of man, to make [his] face shine from oil, and bread to sustain the heart of man. Adonai’s trees are sated, the cedars of Lebanon that He planted; where birds make their nests, the stork – the firs are her home. The high mountains [are] for the wild goats, the rocks a refuge for the rabbits. He made the moon to fix seasons the sun knows its place to set. You make darkness and night comes, in which all the beasts of the forest move about. The young lions roar for prey and seek their food from the Almighty. [When] the sun rises, they gather and come into their dens to lie. Man goes out to his work, to his labor until evening. How many are Your works, Adonai! You made them all with wisdom; the earth is full of Your possessions! This sea, great and wide – therein are innumerable creeping things, animals small and great. There ships travel; this Leviathan You formed to frolic with. They all look to You expectantly, to provide their food in its time. [When] You give it to them, they gather it in; [when] You open Your hand, they are sated with goodness. When You hide Your face, they are panic-stricken; When You gather in their breath, they perish, and to their dust they return. When You send Your spirit, they will be created [anew]; and You will renew the face of the earth. The glory of Adonai will endure forever, Adonai will rejoice in His works – Who gazes upon the earth and it trembles; Who touches the mountains and they erupt. I will sing to Adonai with my life; I will offer hymns to my God as long as I am alive.  May my words be pleasant to Him; I will rejoice in Adonai. Sinners will be excised from the earth, and they wicked will be no more; My soul  bless Adonai, Praise God.

For the sake of the unification between the Holy Blessed One and His Shechinah with fear and love and with love and fear, in order to unify the Name Yood Hey and Wav Hey in perfect unity, and in the Name of all Israel. We hereby come to pray the Evening Prayer, which was established by our Patriarch Jacob, may peace be upon him, with all the commandments contained therein to perfect its source in a place on high, to give pleasure to the One Who formed us, and to fulfill the will of our Creator. And let the graciousness of the Lord our God be upon us; establish Thou also upon us the work of our hands; yea, the work of our hands establish Thou it.

Hashem of Hosts is with us, a stronghold for us is the Elohim of Jacob, forever. Hashem of Hosts, praiseworthy is the person who trusts in You. Hashem grant salvation, may the Sovereign answer us on the day we call.

The Leader recites «Hatzi (Half) Kaddish»

And He the Merciful One forgives iniquities, and He does not destroy, and He frequently withdraws His anger, and does not arouse all His wrath. Hashem save us, the Sovereign shall answer us on the day we call.

Person reciting Kaddish says: Bless Adonai, the blessed One!
Everyone responds: Blessed is Adonai, the blessed One!
The Leader continues: Blessed is Adonai, the blessed One, forever and ever!

Blessed are You Hashem, our Elohim, Sovereign of the universe, Who by His word brings on evenings, with wisdom opens the gates of dawn, and with understanding alters periods, and changes the seasons, and orders the stars in their constellations, in the heavens as He wills. He creates day and night, unfurling light before darkness, and darkness before light. He removes day and brings night, and separates between day and between night, Hashem, Ruler of Hosts, is His Name. Blessed are You Hashem, Who brings on evenings.

With an eternal love, the House of Israel, Your people You have loved. Torah and commandments, laws and precepts You have taught us. Therefore Hashem our Elohim, when we lie down and when we rise we will discuss Your laws, and we shall rejoice and exult in the words of the teachings of Your Torah, Your commandments and Your statutes, forever and ever; For they are our life and the length of our days, and we will reflect on them day and night, Your love do not remove from us forever. Blessed are You Hashem, Who loves His people Israel.

Hear, Israel, the Lord is our God, the Lord is One.

(Say in an undertone) Blessed be the Name of His glorious kingdom forever and ever.

And you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your might.

In order to remember and do all My commandments, and be holy for your God. I am the Lord, your God who brought you out of the land of Egypt to be a God to you. I am the Lord, your God. It is true.

The Leader repeats: Lord, your God. It is true.

And faithful is all this, and firmly held by us, that He is Hashem our Elohim and there is none but Him, and we are Israel, His people. He is the One Who delivers us from the power of sovereigns, our Sovereign Who delivers us from the hand of all the cruel tyrants. He is the Eternal One Who exacts retribution for us from our foes, and Who repays just retaliation upon all the enemies of our soul; He Who keeps us alive, and does not allow our feet to falter. Who led us upon the heights of our enemies, and raised our pride above all who hate us. God, Who has wrought for us retribution against Pharaoh with signs and wonders, in the land of the children of Ham; He, Who struck with anger all the firstborn of Egypt, and removed His people Israel from their midst to eternal freedom. Who brought His children through the split parts of the Sea of Reeds, those who pursued them and those that hated them He sank into the depths. The Children saw His might, they praised and gave thanks to His Name, and His sovereignty they accepted upon themselves, Moses and the children of Israel to You exclaimed in song with great gladness, and all of them said: Who is like You Hashem? Who is like You among the gods that are worshipped, extolled in praises, working wonders? Your kingdom, Lore, our God did Your children see upon the sea, all of them in unison gave thanks and accepted sovereignty, and they said: “Hashem will reign forever and ever.” Thus it is said: For Hashem redeemed Jacob, and from a hand stronger than his own.” Blessed are You Hashem,Who redeemed Israel.

Lay us down in peace, O Father, and may we arise, our Sovereign, to good life and peace, and spread over us the shelter of Your peace. Guide us with Your good counsel, and save us for the sake of Your Name. Protect us for our sake, and remove from us enemies, disease, war, illness, anguish, evil, famine, sorrow, ruin and plague. Destroy and remove the Satan from before us and from behind us, under the shadow of your wings hide us, and watch over us when we go out and when we return for good life and for peace, from now and forever, for You are God, our Guardian and Rescuer from all evil things and from the terror of the night. Blessed are You Hashem, Who safeguards His people Israel forever. Amen.

The Good One, for Your mercies never cease; The Compassionate One, for Your kindness has never ended – for always have we placed our hope in You.

Al Hannissim is said on Hanukkah and Purim.
For the miracles, the deliverance, the mighty feats, the acts of rescue, the wonders, and the comforting deeds that You have performed for our forefathers in those days, at this time.On Hanukkah: In the days of Mattityah the son of Yohanan, the high priest, the Hasmonean, and his sons – when the evil kingdom of Greece rose up against Your people, Israel, to make them forget Your Torah, and to force them to stray from the statutes of Your Will – You, in Your great compassion, stood up for them in their time of trouble; You took up their fight, sought justice for them, meted out vengeance for them, and delivered the strong into the hands of the weak, the many into the hands of the few, the wicked into the hands of the righteous, the impure into the hands of the pure, and tyrants into the hands of those who are occupied with Your Torah.

May they find favor , the utterance of my mouth and the thoughts of my heart, before You, Adonai, my Rock and my Redeemer.

May the Name of Adonai be blessed from now and until eternity. From the sun’s rising until its setting Adonai’s Name is praised. Adonai is high above all nations’ His glory is above the heavens. Adonai, our Master, how mighty is Your Name throughout the entire world!

May the One Who makes peace in the heavens, may He make peace upon us, and for His entire nation, Israel, and say amen.(Amen)

[Psalm 121]

A song to the ascents. I raise my eyes to the mountains, from whence will come my help? My help is from Hashem, Maker of heaven and earth. He will not allow the faltering of your foot; not slumber will your Guardian. Behold, [He] neither slumbers nor sleeps, the Guardian of Israel. Hashem is your Guardian; Hashem is your protective Shade at your right hand. By day the sun will not harm you, nor the moon by night. Hashem will protect your from every evil; He will guard your soul. Hashem will guard your departure and your arrival, from this time until eternity.
