Going to the Mikveh

Going to the Mikveh
Tefillat Hanidah
 Jewish Law / Halacha ↗️

Torah forbids marital relations with the wife during her nidah (menstrual period). After the end of menstruation, the countdown of seven “clean” days begins, after which the woman must take a bath in a mikveh (ritual pool) in order to cleanse spiritually. In order to purify, a woman needs to plunge into a mikvah pool, immersing her whole body in it. A woman plunges into the mikvah 1 time, and then, covering her head with a towel, pronounces the following blessing:

Baruch Atah Adonai Eloheinu Melech Haolom, Asher Kideshenu Bemitzvitov Vezivanu Al Hatevila.

After the blessing, you need to dip a second time. There is a custom to dip three times after the blessing to eliminate any doubt. Some dip seven times after the blessing.
