A blessing that gives thanks to God for enabling us to experience a new or special occasion:
Blessed are You Lord our God, Ruler of the Universe who has given us life, sustained us, and allowed us to reach this day.
Upon seeing lighting, recite:
Blessed are You Lord our God, Ruler of the Universe, Who performs the work of creation.
Upon hearing thunder, recite:
Blessed are You Lord our God, Ruler of the Universe, Whose might and power fill the world.
Upon seeing a rainbow, recite:
Blessed are You, Adonai, our God, King of the universe, Who recalls the covenant, is trustworthy in His covenant, and fulfills His word.
Upon seeing a Torah scholar with significant wisdom, recite:
Blessed are You, God, our Lord, King of the universe, Who has given from His wisdom to those who fear Him.
