
In 1902, Bezalel’s father, Yochanan, brought Bezalel’s grandparents to live in the Bucharian Community in Jerusalem. The remainder of Bezalel’s family made Aliyah during the time of the Communist Bolshevik Revolution. In 1939 during the British occupation of Israel (formerly known as Palestine), Bezalel was enlisted in the British Army. In 1948 Bezalel was enlisted as a soldier and a reservist in the Israeli army. In 1952 he married Zelfa Samuels. In 1957, Bezalel and his wife and children moved to New York where his children attended Yeshiva and they continued to support the State of Israel. Bezalel and his wife, Zelfa, are survived by their 3 children, Sarah, Pinchas and Zvi.
